Lack of care, compassion and incompetent. My mother, age 95, at end of life stage, semi-comatose, was admitted for respite care via hospice, with possibility of long term care. I highly recommend NO ONE place their family member in this facility until they have adequate staffing, and do not employ agency LPN for staffing. Orders for comfort care meds and turns were not complied with; LPNs had no training in access to orders. One LPN was too busy on her phone. Staff aides consist of 2 for the entire facility on the weekend and holidays, and apparently are in charge since agency LPNs will inform you immediately, when confronted with negligent care, they are not staff. We admitted my mother Friday afternoon and removed her Sunday morning. This facility is a liability waiting- don’t let your family member be that liability.

Colonial Oaks has become the most awful place to send your loved ones. They are very short staffed and hire temps that don’t get to know the patients. We found our mother in the floor, naked and covered in vomit. She had been hollering for help, but the call light was broken. She wasn’t even supposed to be out of bed due to a broken leg. Patients aren’t being cleaned or bathed like they should be. The hallways smell of urine. The food is awful, and they aren’t assisting patients with feedings like they should. There is so much more I could share, but I will just strongly encourage anyone to seek other places for their loved ones.

At first entering this nursing home you would be impressed, but behind the scenes it is a very different story. They are short staffed for one. The care is almost non existent, people are quitting getting fired or being let go for any reason. They hire rent a nurse that treat the patients like a poor relitiive or worse. The food is terrible and they don’t seem to care. I would certainly think twice before sending anyone to this place.

Until July 2018 everything was excellent. In July corporate, which is located in another state, made changes that changed the entire facility. Employees are quitting, housekeeping is sloppy, and the food is worse than horrible. Meals are served late. The food is cold and at times not even edible. It’s pitiful! Prior to the changes the meals were excellent. Corporate just looks at the bottom num er and doesn’t care about the residents.

My mother had stayed at Colonial Oaks Guest Care. When she was there, she was very content, and I was very happy. They were excellent. As a matter of fact, she loved their food and everything. There's nothing to complain about. The people working there were very thoughtful, and very intensive with the people and very caring. They were on top of everything. It was very clean, and it doesn't smell like the average nursing home. It was more like a little hotel efficiency thing. The rooms were really nice. They could have the food either in their room or in the cafeteria, which ever they would prefer. Their dining room was very clean. It was spotless. I would rate it a 5+.

I would definitely recommend Colonial Oaks Guest Care. The place is very clean. We haven't had any negative feedback from my father at all. The staff is really good. They have aides on every hall and they're right out in the hall from his room. They're very nice to him. The food is excellent. I ate there the other day with my father.
