My sister Rita is in there for rehab. She has been sick many years, and fell at home broke a vertebrae. After nine days in hospital she was sent there for rehab. I for one would not want to leave my family member in a nursing home long term, unless absolutely necessary. But, she has been there two weeks, they had her walking some with assistance. Then she had a set back had to go back in the hospital again. Her first two weeks she couldn’t been treated any better. Now of course she complains some about the food. lol But, it is like hospital food. So we try and and take her snacks we know she will eat...Looking through the window her room is always clean. As far as the staff the ones I have spoken to have been very helpful. Some of the ladies names I remember is Janet and Crystal. Very helpful. When I call to speak to a nurse , I am always put through to them and they answer all my questions... Dalton H. always answers any questions I have. He goes beyond far more than he has to. I am glad they have a person such as him in that facility..She is back in the nursing home again to finish out her stay. I am sure she will continue to receive good care...Far as activities goes, she wasn’t able to participate so far, so I can’t answer that...

DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IN THIS NURSING HOME. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. EVERY ONE OF THEM EXCEPT TWO AIDS. THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AND CANNOT CARE FOR THE PATIENTS CORRECTLY. IF I HAD NOT REMOVED MY GRANDPA WHEN I DID, he’d been dead a week later. They let him lay in piss, took his pain meds, and did not take care of his wounds on his feet correctly and bc of it, and him being a diabetic, he almost lost his toes. And would have if I hadn’t removed him when I did. And on his discharge day they would not give me his medical records to me and I still do not have them. They said it would be up to corporate to decide if they would release them or not. Please take my advice and don’t put your family members in here n

Some of the staff at Signature are very caring and really care about the elders. Most of them are just there for the money and don't care at all. They just want to get done and get paid, they don't care what kind of shape the elders are left in. Whether it be wet, not fed or anything. Some of the management feel the same way. They just don't care as long as they are getting their pay and their not getting in trouble qith State. Everything is someone else's job and someone else's responsibility. It don't do any good to complain it just goes in one ear and out the other. The only time complaints are followed through is if they think it is going to get to state. They want everything to run smooth but don't want to do anything to help. The little people there are the ones that suffer, the elders without families and the non management employees tjat truly care.

While I was at this facility I realized that it was very under staffed. The conditions that the residents had to live in were horrible. Many residents were bed ridden and were laying in their own feces. The staff at this facility was not very friendly and even worse to some of the residents. I was in this facility for over seven days and the conditions did not improve. There was a spot of feces left in the hallway of the facility a whole day. Many residents there are full of bed sores from not being turned. All in all I would not recommend this facility to any friends or family or anyone for that matter. On the last day of my stay at this facility conditions improved slightly but it was still horrible that residents have to live this way.

My experience with this facility is very positive, there's nothing bad to say about the time I spent there with my Grandmother. She's well taken care of and gets the attention that she needs as far as her medication and assistance is concerned. You can tell that she is well cared for in the hands of the staff.

While the staff seemed extremely caring, the facility suffered from some very necessary cleaning and updates. Tiles on the floor were cracked or missing, giving it an unappealing feeling. The odor of urine was extreme throughout the hallways. Having been in several other facilities, this was alarming. The air quality was nauseating at best, but I feared it impacted the overall health of the patients. The block walls were depressing, although it seemed in places they tried to cheer it up a bit with wallpaper border. I just felt that the facility could have been much cleaner. Positive and clean surroundings are extremely important not just to the physical health of the residents, but the mental and emotional health, as well. I had greater expectations than this considering it was one of the only nursing homes in such a populated area. Such a pleasant staff, overshadowed by conditions that could be cheaply and easily fixed.
