I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have had family members in the facility several times, some made this their last home. The building is clean, no odors. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this facility.

Facility is Nasty, They Bath your loved ones once a week, Rooms always Smell like Piss Bed is Nasty, with pee stains, every time we visit our loved one I have to get them to clean the room, dump the bedside toilet, have them change his bed sheets, one time the person beside the person we was visiting had messed on himself light was on for nurse, he laid in that over 30 minutes before I went and told someone that he had messed and it had been over 30 min and no one hadn't came in yet, that is unacceptable, another time we visited there was piss in floor it had been there a while, lady got mad cause she had to clean it. we take clothes for our loved one and when you visit they have a shirt that's 4 times to big and cut up the back, that's not even their clothes, I don't recommend this Facility we're trying to get our loved one moved to another, facility. This Facility gets theses patients money and gives them poor care, this Facility only cares about Money. Room nasty, Some Staff is Rude.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I recently visited a cousin of mine that I had not seen in quite some time, unfortunately, I had to visit her in a nursing home. She is now a resident at Laurel Creek Health Care Center, located in Manchester, Kentucky. I have seen a lot of these type of facilities in my day, and I would have to rank this one as simply average. There is really nothing great about it, although nothing that jumps out as being horrible either. There are many possible avenues for improvement at this assisted living facility, including a more desirable social area with more options for entertainment. I think they could also benefit from hiring a few new staff members that could be a little more sensitive to patients needs. There were a few moments where a few of the employees just seemed to busy to deal with anything that they may have deemed as unnecessary. Other than that, the facility was very clean and every room seemed to be well attended to. The staff there does do a nice job of care taking, and I guess that is the main objective.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

This facility seems to be very clean, friendly, and a well kept facility. The staff all are very kind and caring to their residents. Every time I have visited the place is always very clean and smells good. It is not like most people describe other nursing homes. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for a good and caring place to put their loved one who they can no longer care for anymore. I have never seen any signs of neither neglect or abuse in this place. The people seem to enjoy what they do and helping the people who are residents. They do many extra curricular things with the residents as well and treat them so good. They also have a great physical therapy room where they help residents get back on their feet. I would recommend this facility to anyone and definitely give them a good rating.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

They were one of the kindest, most caring and compassionate staff that I've ever dealt with. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. Everything was kept clean and in orderly fashion, especially the rest rooms. The grounds were always kept clean and fresh flowers were always planted in the spring with the help of residents and local volunteers. The overall appearance was unbelievable. Also the food was implausible. The community rooms always had some type of entertainment from local volunteers, such as bingo, various card games, and live entertainment from local artist, dancing, and much more. The residents were bathed very well, women always had nail care including polish, if requested In the eastern Kentucky area, the Laurel Creek Health Care & Rehabilitation facility was voted #1. They are very knowledgeable in the caring and rehabilitation of residents. They are doing something very special at this facility that is truly one of kind, I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I am a friend or relative of resident

This facility was very well organized, clean, and sanitary. Staff was very courteous to myself, my family members and especially the residents. The nurses were very responsive to any calls the residents may of had and the concerns of the relatives. There were several nurses aides. One in particular that were very friendly and courteous to us. They were always coming in to check on the residents and tend to their needs. The housekeeping staff worked very hard to keep the facility very clean. The staff in the cafeteria prepared very good meals and always made an effort to keep the residents happy. I would encourage anyone who needed to send their loved ones to a facility to send them to this facility because of its loving and caring environment.
