Lake Forest Village Retirement Community is very clean, friendly, has a lot of amenities, it's very accessible for all levels of needs and affordable too. The staff is very friendly, caring and helpful. My mom has a 1-bedroom with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in her room. So far, she's been very happy with the food, its selection, and the quality. She's extremely happy there. They have daily movies in their theater, bingo, and cards. They have a happy hour, a kind of a social hour before dinner. They're not doing any outing yet because of COVID but I know they'd offer that again eventually.

I went to tour Village Crossing. It was a wonderful visit. We truly enjoyed the young lady who gave our tour. We loved everything about it, but it's out of my income bracket. The facilities were outstanding. I was really quite impressed because I did not expect this. In the apartment they have full kitchen like a full-sized refrigerator and a full stove. I was just totally impressed because I was not expecting full service. As far as the facility itself, that was the most impressive thing for what I would be able to utilize, and that I would not have to be restricted to the menu and the meals that they have. But what they had today was great. We enjoyed the lunch that we had there. They also have a full-sized washer and dryer. The staff member who gave the tour was very accommodating. The person who I met with initially was just standing in for the person that I had the appointment with, but they both were very friendly. The staff member took me through the whole facility to show me everything that they had to offer. And my son said it was like being on a cruise ship. Everything was really nice. We thoroughly both enjoyed it. And they have so many things to do there. I was just really blown away.

Village Crossing was very impressive. It's a very lively place. There were lots of opportunities. I liked that for people with pets there were first floor rooms with exterior access, so that was very impressive to me. There's a lot of people doing things and very active in the restaurant. I know they have an opportunity to bring a washer-dryer and have those installed. There's just a stovetop, an oven, and a refrigerator in the apartment. The staff was very positive, very engaged, and very knowledgeable. The dining area was a restaurant type.

I toured Village Crossing and I liked their restaurant, the cleanliness of the place, the size of the rooms, the convenience of the place from where I live, and the amenities. The staff was very well trained, answered all my questions, and took a personal interest in my needs. The apartments were spacious, modern, and brand new. Their dining area was beautiful with a wide selection of food. The staff asks you what you want off the menu and they go to the hot table and prepare the plate for you. I met some of the residents that were playing dice games and a sit-down volleyball game. It's a nice place. It's not assisted living, but there is an assisted living company that's based on their second floor. So, you can get any help you want, a la carte. Their meals have room service, they have a full kitchen, and it's a 759 square feet apartment. In the bathroom, there's a space for a full washer and dryer. If you don't bring one, they'll supply one free of charge, and if you don't want to do that, there's a washer and dryers down the hall.

Lake Forest Village Retirement Resort was definitely a cleaner place. They're not doing any construction and they have a lot more amenities. People can do dancing or singing, and their theater was bigger, and had a lot more seating. It's a little more expensive too, but everything was perfect. The lady who gave the tour was very good and knowledgeable. She was even excited to show us around. She had a lot of good things to say and did excellent. They actually offered us that for any event coming up, we would be invited to come join them to experience a little bit of their food. They have a nice little theater where they can show movies, do stage plays, or hold church services, then conversation rooms, and arts and crafts rooms. I saw a two-bedroom with a master bath and it was big. It looked really good.

We thought Lake Forest Village Retirement Community was nice. I liked it. We saw quite a few people there, and everybody was really nice. It was a good experience. We got the information we needed, and we've already contacted them. We saw all the rooms. The outside of it is the only place where there wasn't much going on. There were streets on every side, and if you look out the window, you can see the cars. If I was on my back porch, I would want more privacy, and I told the staff that. I know they have plays, they do shows there, they have a happy hour, and they have open meals anytime. It seemed like they had a lot of stuff.

My father has moved into Lake Forest Village. The food is very good. It is very affordable. The apartments are very nice. They have been very accommodating. The place is very nice and clean. It has everything that a senior would need. Everyone has been very nice and very helpful. They were more than willing to go out of their way to help us. One of the reasons why we picked this place is that they have a lot of activities for the members to do within the facility. They take them to a lot of places to do stuff (probably when Covid is over) to get outside. One of the definite selling points is that it is easy access. They have a lot of handrails, and they have a lot of elevators, which always help senior people who have a little bit of mobility issue.
