Although my mother was there for just a short time, I can’t say enough positive things about this assisted living facility. They are warm and welcoming. The staff is truly there to meet the needs of the clients. My mother truly enjoyed visiting with all the staff that would come in to see her. I just wish that she could’ve stayed longer!

Colonial Oaks Senior Living at Spring Hill was nice. The room looked fine. It was a nice room with the kitchen facilities and everything and it seemed clean. Daniel was very nice. I enjoyed his company. I talked to him on the phone a few times before I went in.

Colonial Oaks at Spring Hill was older, but in all of the facilities I visited, they had the largest rooms. I was there at like 2 o'clock, so there wasn't really much going on. Everybody was either sleeping or napping. They actually had assisted living and memory care there. The staff was nice and helpful.

We moved both my parents to Colonial Oaks 5 days ago and could not be more pleased!!! Cleanliness is very big for me and I was extremely pleased when I toured the facility and it smelled and looked clean. The head of nursing Nikki, has been extremely patient and helpful in getting my parents organized with their medications and their specific care/needs. The Community Relations Director, Megan, is so bubbly, welcoming and kind. The Executive Director, Angela, is absolutely amazing!!! She has been so patient with my family, makes sure to check in on me and my parents needs/questions and definitely goes out of her way to make you feel like your loved ones are "home"!!! All the other staff, from office, to nurses, to maintenance, have all proven we without a doubt made the right decision by choosing Colonial Oaks!!!

I was referred to Colonial Oaks in Spring Hill by Olathe Medical Center for mother who is no longer able to live by herself. The facility was very nice and open. The rooms were spacious and perfect for what mom will need. Some rooms are being updated with flooring and paint. This has been a very hard time for our entire family, and I can't thank the staff at Colonial Oaks enough for talking us through the good, bad, and the ugly! We toured 6 other places, and this was the only place I was able to feel "at home". The care staff stopped and spoke to us and answered our questions, the housekeeping lady stopped what she was doing to say hi and was helpful on our questions about the laundry, even a few of the residents and their families spoke to us about living there, which was really a relief to hear. Everything was just above and beyond! We put a deposit on a room and happily moving in next month!

We put mom at Colonial Oaks at Spring Hill. It's close and convenient to me, so I can check on her daily. It's clean, she loves the food up there, and the staff has so far been kind and caring. The only downfall is they're short-staffed, but I think that's probably with every facility. It's very bright and colorful. I looked at a couple of places that were very dark and uninviting; this one is not like that at all. They have outside chairs for the residents to sit in and they kept in mind that a lot of elderly people like to walk and they're accommodating that. I know my mom and she would let me know if the food was not good. Last night, I stopped in there and they had some kind of a taco salad or something for supper and literally, she had demolished it. It's a homecooked meal. They have a group exercise activity three times a week. I have my mom enrolled in individual outpatient therapy right now so that we make a good transition to that. They have a patio and a beauty salon, but my understanding is they don't have a beautician at this time. We're still adjusting and I have certain expectations that I want the staff to do. I understand there are more people up there than what my mom is, but at the price we pay, I think we deserve that. They're doing the best they can though.

I went on a Sunday afternoon. It was cleared out because everybody was sick, they said. Everybody was staying in their rooms to prevent people getting sick. Nevertheless, the staff was extremely friendly and very nice. The place was clean. They had a smoking area right at the back, which was just an uncovered patio. I really liked it. It would have been closer to me, but I don't think my friend would be happy there. It wasn't fancy enough for him. It's very country and very homey. It is not like a hotel and more like grandma's house, which is nice, but not for my friend.

My mother is here, and it was great. The staff is very good. The rooms are comfortable. They have different sizes, and hers is a fairly small one, but it's all she needs.
