Visited the facility twice, the Administrater was out of town both times. The staff was not very educated to answer my questions. When I finally spoke with the Healthcare Administrater she seemed a bit young and inexperienced to run a nursing home facility.

Life Care Center was average, and we really didn’t look at the rooms that much because of the price. They were average rooms. The staff seemed OK. I wasn’t satisfied with the idea that I couldn’t leave the place unless I was escorted by a nurse and I had a code to get out of the door; it felt like a prison.

Seemed outdated. Most of the staff seemed lackadaisical at best in their cocnern for residents. A majority of the indviiduals there didn;t seem to be enjoying their stay, and the parking lot was gravel. This seemed to be problematic for visitors that used walking assistance devices. My grandmother did not enjoy her stay, and felt the staff did not provide enough activities on a daily basis.

Their facility was gorgeous and everyone was very friendly, however it did not fit our needs. This facility did not have the level of care that my mother needed. This assisted living center was geared more towards residents that were more mobile and able to take care of themselves. Most of the residents we spoke to were there mainly for senior companionship and not for care. Another issue we had was that this facility was multilevel and had a big, unattended staircase. Even though this center had many elevators, we were not comfortable because we thought Anne might forget her current condition and try to take the stairs. This facility was also an open facility that allowed residents to come and go as they pleased. We needed a locked facility that prevents residents from mistakenly walking out. There was never a concern that my mother would purposely attempt to leave, but she might get confused on a bad day with her senior dementia. We also feared that in the less regimented atmosphere, she would be forgotten about at meals times and would not have enough people checking in on her throughout the day. Altogether, I would recommend this facility to someone who is nearly self-reliant.

I have a loved one in this center. He gets wonderful care. The food is good and I eat lunch with him. Also any of my questions are answered fully.
