My overall experience at Garden Villas of Lenexa was excellent. The director contacted me twice beforehand and said that he would meet us at the door, which he did. He took us around as we needed. My brother-in-law doesn't walk well, so he got a wheelchair for him. He was wonderful. He showed us a two-bedroom, two-bath (which is the only thing we are looking for), and we loved it. It was bright, clean, and big. So now my sister and her husband have a difficult decision, but they have to wait and see a couple more. We saw their dining area. It was after lunch, and so everything was being cleaned up. It looked like the staff members were doing what they're supposed to do. Chairs were wiped down, and tables were wiped down. It looked very clean and healthy to me.

My sister and I toured Garden Villas. We were both so very impressed with the overall facility. The staff we encountered were friendly and kind to us and the residents there. We were fortunate enough to view a 2 bed room unit which was clean, freshly painted and inviting. The facilities at Garden Villas provide opportunities for social interaction, physical development and mental stimulation.

Our tour at the Garden Villas of Lenexa was fine. The man who gave the tour did a very good job and was very helpful in understanding the situation, and gave us lots of good information. We looked at a couple of rooms and the one that we liked is in the process of being redecorated. The one-bedroom has a little balcony area, and then they have a courtyard area.

Garden Villas of Lenexa did not have as many amenities as the other places I visited. I talked with the supervisor there or whoever was in charge, and he did not point out all those things because I right away said that access to the shower was critical. That was a major point that I had to be concerned with. He said that all of the showers had a lift. We went and toured three different units. All of them had the 4 or 5-inch lift you have to step into that I'm not capable of using. They had one economy or efficiency apartment that had a roll-in shower, but the bathroom was so small I couldn't get my wheelchair between the toilet and the wall to access the shower. Meals were provided for independent living. They did have a dining room. I shortened the tour simply because I said I've got to see the showers and see if I can access them. He did take me down to the cafeteria because when he walked up to me, I was a half hour early for my appointment, and he was just returning to his office when I got there. I got there at 1:30, so the lunch meal was already over. There was a common area, but I didn't pay any attention to it because I was more concerned about accessing the showers.

I put a deposit down on Garden Villas of Lenexa. It was a welcoming environment. The representative presented the facility and all the amenities. The apartment that we chose has a door that would separate the bedroom from the living area, which was a nice feature for a studio apartment, and the community is very close to where I live. The staff member who toured us around was very friendly. As a matter of fact, I was there when the residents were eating, and they all acknowledged the staff as we were walking by. They made you feel welcome. It just appears to be a good environment. I met several staff members and most of them had been there for a long period of time. They have a coffee bar and an ice cream parlor. They have ice cream on Wednesdays. They have the activity where they take them to Target and to Walmart. There is a mall straight across the street, too. They have game rooms, a swimming pool, a hot tub, an outdoor, and an atrium area. Those are the things that most interest me. However, it's an older facility, and it's built on a hill.

We liked Garden Villas of Lenexa. The facility was very appealing to us, the location, and the inside and outside were very nice. They were very pleasant. I can recommend them. If we were gonna choose right now, that would be the one we'd choose, but we can't do anything until we sell our home. The manager was very thorough, very kind, and knowledgeable about what it entails moving in there. We looked at a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. The one-bedroom and two-bedroom were very similar, except for that second bedroom and second bathroom. What we saw was very inviting and it looked like it would work good for us as far as the dining room and all the other things. We were very pleased with that place. They have a beauty shop and a courtyard to go out and sit. It's private, and if you have an animal that's where you could go with your animal. There are levels and it would've been nice if it had just been all one level. The rooms have a balcony, a beautiful kitchen area, a washer and dryer, and everything like that.

I will be moving into Garden Villas of Lenexa. They're really wonderful. They're very caring, kind, and thorough. It's beautiful and they seemed to have their act together. They were more affordable than a lot of the other places. I was in a wheelchair and they took me around and showed me everything. They took a lot of time with me. They even sent their director of nurses out to my house to talk to me about my needs and what they can do to meet my needs. I've just been very impressed with them. I will have an apartment and it's very beautiful. It's very clean, and there's absolutely no odor. They must really stay on top of that. They have a lot to offer. They have a beauty salon, an indoor swimming pool, and an ice cream parlor. It's really a nice place. They provide three meals with about ten choices in each meal.

We visited Garden Villas of Lenexa for my mother-in-law. It was very good, they were very helpful, and I thought the place was very nice. The rooms were nice, and we especially like the fact that she could have a washer and dryer and those, as opposed to the other ones. They had a library and a pool. We saw a menu, but we didn't try any food. The menu offered as far as the variety. When we were there, there were some ladies playing cards. The living atmosphere, I would say, was very good. Their price is a little bit more than the other ones. There was staff cleaning constantly.

My mother has moved into Garden Villas of Lenexa. She's in independent living right now. They have a very caring staff. They're very personal, and her needs are addressed quickly and adequately. I tried the food one day, my mom loved it, and I think it's good, too. They provide some transportation. They have a lot of scheduled social events, happy hours, and crafts. They provide two meals a day, and it's included in the price, and if you needed to order more, you could.

Garden Villas of Lenexa was a very nice place. The residents were very happy. I actually know someone who has been there and enjoyed it very much. I liked their services. The apartment they showed me was a studio and it was nice and clean. It just wasn't what I was looking for. There were a lot of activities going on. People were doing various things like playing cards, and they were actually getting ready to do another activity. The staff was very pleasant.

Garden Villas of Lenexa was very nice and very clean. Even though it's kept well, the facility was old, and the apartments were small for my taste. The staff was very nice and very caring. The main issue there was the size of the apartment and that it was old. I don't think that they were going to do any updating.

The people I met at Garden Villas of Lenexa were very nice. The staff gave me an overall view of everything. It was an older facility. They had a very nice pool area, but that was not of interest to my aunt at all. Overall, it was clean and nice enough. But it felt like a nursing home. I saw people playing bingo, and that was about it. They have a library though. And the staff who gave me the tour was very friendly. The dining area looked clean, too.

Garden Villas of Lenexa was by far my favorite of the apartments that I looked at. The only problem with it was that the laundry room was on the lower floor. To go there, I would have to go down a hallway, take an elevator, and then walk a little bit more. I thought that was a little bit too inconvenient at my age. The washers and dryers are complimentary, but you have to go to them. I viewed a 1-bedroom alcove. It is essentially a studio, but it is extremely well laid out with a full kitchen and a great closet space. Even though it is a studio, you get extra storage, which is helpful. It also has a nice balcony. They have an indoor heated pool and a hot tub. They have several activity rooms that looked quite nice. They have a little bar area with ice cream. The activities looked nice. They have a library, and the dining area is restaurant style. They have the nicest staff, too. They were very friendly and very involved. They were chatting with the residents on a friendly basis. It was a lovely atmosphere. The reason I didn't choose them was the laundry situation. Also, there was a big hill within the parking lot that you would have to go up to, and in the winter that might be a bit difficult. They have transportation available. They offer valet parking. If it was slippery, I could just leave my car at the door, and they would take it and park it.

We liked Garden Villas of Lenexa. The staff was great. They were very informative, very welcoming, and lowkey. We also liked the price that they offered, and just the facility itself. The dining area was very nice and very clean. Their menu had lots of choices. It's an older facility, but it's been renovated so it looked bright, cheerful, very modern, and it smelled great. It had a happy atmosphere.

My mother moved to the assisted living of Garden Villas of Lenexa, and it's been excellent. We chose this place because they were reasonable, provide great care, and are a nice facility. The community is friendly, with nice rooms, a nice building, and good amenities. They provide her meals, they do bingo and games, mass, and movies. The staff was very nice. She has a nice balcony that overlooks the grounds, and I like the layout of the place. Her room is not far from the elevator, and the elevator takes her to most of the activities.

I would give Garden Villas of Lenexa a high rating. I was just impressed. It was probably the oldest facility we saw, but it was beautiful and very well maintained. They have a gorgeous carpet on the floor that is pink and has big flowers on it. The apartments looked to be well maintained. You could have laundry in your unit for $25 extra. They gave my mom cookies to bring home, and they were hot out of the oven. They were chocolate chip, pistachio, cranberry or something like that; they tasted amazing. They were the best bakery cookies you've ever seen. They were really good. We didn't eat other food there, but it sounded like their food was good. If their food was like those cookies, the food would be pretty amazing. We met a lady who has lived there for seven years, and she said that the place is fabulous and loves it. The guy who toured us around has worked there for almost 30 years, and that's pretty amazing as well. He said that it's a great place to work and that says a lot about a place. He said the maintenance guy had been there 28 years or something too. To me, that says a lot. They had a swimming pool and outdoor spaces. The amenities were maybe smaller than some of the other places, but the outside spaces and the place looked to be very well maintained. Everybody who worked there seemed happy and engaged in what they were doing. They greeted us and were just very nice.
