My mother-in-law was one of the first residents to move in more than 10 years ago. Recently, my mom moved there, based on our recommendation. The building is clean, the food is good and residents are safe. There are numerous activities and the bus provides transportation anywhere someone wants to go. The managers are friendly and staff are helpful. Would recommend for anyone looking for independent living.

My mother-in-law has moved into Meadowlark Estates. The staff is very nice, and the managers are very helpful and friendly. Everybody is nice. The meals are pretty good. They have a lot of activities and a bus for the residents that need it. They have onsite home healthcare, and that's a really nice thing, too. They're here 24/7 basically. They even have physical therapy type services. The place is very well-kept. They manicure the lawns very nicely. They have a raised garden area for the people that have a hard time bending down but want to garden; they can garden there. That's very well-manicured, and it looks very nice. People have been doing that now that it is spring. Everything inside is very elegant with nice chandeliers. It just looks elegant and nice. They're very accommodating with the food and meals. If you are in your room and sick and you don't feel like going to a meal, then they will bring it to you. Or if you want to go pick up a meal and bring it back to your room, you can do that, or you can eat in the dining room with everybody else. They have lots of options for the meal, and that is very nice. They have quite a few activities here. Every day, they have two to three different activities that they have. They have exercises, they have card games, and they have volleyball type things. They just have lots of different activities and games, and they go on bus trips once a week to different places.

My sister-in-law has moved into Meadowlark Estates. The decor is beautiful, it's very well kept, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They provided financial assistance to pay for the movers to move her in. They always use the same movers and have them move in after the residents have finished their meal and gone to their rooms, so there's very little interaction between them and the staff to keep everyone safe. She has a studio apartment, but they have a variety. They have lots of exercise classes, a movie theater, and a big dining hall. They used to have a lot more stuff before COVID started, but they have live entertainment one time a week, little bus trips, they used to go more places than they can right now, but they still go once a week for whoever wants to sign up to go. They take them shopping to stores. My sister-in-law has done hardly any of the activities yet. They also have a garden that the residents can work in in the back, and it's very beautiful. They are not allowing any guests to eat meals there yet. The layout of the facility is nice. It provides quite a bit of privacy for the residents. The pricing is pretty good. They clean the rooms, they have housekeeping every week, they have laundry, and they provide clean sheets and towels every week. The residents can wash their own clothes in the laundry facility at certain times.

The facility is first class! And capably run in a professional, friendly way. There is always a nice choice of meals to have - and chef prepared. The rooms are very nice, and the whole place is wonderfully maintained. Staff interaction is always very pleasant, and I know our 95-year old Dad loves it there. Can't say enough about the Lark! Except: 5 STARS!

Please note: what may be discussed as a "deposit" is really a "community fee." My mother-in-law passed away earlier this year; 1/2 of the "deposit" was kept for the remainder of the month's rent, but the other 1/2 was not refunded because it's now termed a "community fee." My mother-in-law would've NEVER agreed to this.

Friend of a Resident at Meadowlark, my friend loves the Lark. She is doing so much better since moving there. She gets good meals, she is safe and she has made a lot of new friends. The management is so delightful. They really take good care of everyone.

My relative is safe and sound in Meadowlark. It is within a block for me. Our experience there is wonderful. The staff is caring. The apartments are small, but nice. It seems secure. The friendliness of the other occupants impresses me.

I lived in Meadowlark Estates from last March until this past June. I was in a one-bedroom, which was nice, comfortable, and good sized -- especially the bathrooms. The rooms were very well insulated. They have studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms. The staff was very good. What impressed me was the cleanliness, the comfortable rooms, and the very good bathroom. They didn't have a bathtub, but there was a large shower, a lot of good countertop space, and a lot of good storage space. The rent included your meal, and the diet was very poor. They didn't focus on encouraging people to eat healthier. They say that they are for people 55 and older independent retirement, but the average age right now is 83-1/2 years old. Many of the newcomers cannot live on their own, and they need help. There is so much activity provided, and the timing is so defined that it's very hard to have a personal lifestyle and live there.

The marketing person who showed us around Meadowlark Estates was very nice and my dad was very impressed. The place is new. The facility is very accommodating as far as the rooms were concerned; they are very spacious. We had lunch there and my dad liked their food. They introduced us to everybody and my dad decided that he liked the place. It seemed brighter and people seemed friendly. Literally, the facility was lighter.

Meadowlark Estates Gracious was beautiful. It's a new place, probably less than a year old. The rooms were beautiful and the staff was friendly. We had a friend there. He enjoyed it and recommended it highly. They have recreational activities and it didn't seem to be short of anything that we would want. And it's just a mile from my stepdaughter's house.
