My aunt moved into Galena Nursing Center. It's an older nursing home, but it's very nice. They're very caring people. The staff members are very good. The residents get together and play cards, bingo, or stuff like that.

This is a HORRIBLE place to put your loved one in. Would NEVER recommend it to anyone ever. Especially after seeing what my granny had to go through & then how they "Labeled" her at the end! So Very glad she left that facility & went to a facility that the staff is VERY Caring & Professional! Absolutely NO STARS!!

We noticed the same thing, when we first went there everyone was so nice and then my wife questioned a few things, all of a sudden they let us know if anyone wanted to eat lunch with our grandad we had to pay. That was no big deal but they moved my grandad in a room with someone that had no shame, im not trying to put any resident down but this guy was not anyone my 15 year old daughter should be around at all. My wife and daughter would go daily and spend 2 to 3 hours. It just seemed they didnt want anyone there keeping an eye on them that much

If I were able to give this horrible place zero stars I would. The staff are super friendly when you first tour the place but that quickly ends after the checks have cleared. I ve never met more fake people in my entire life. The aides at night are rude and take 30 minutes or more to answer a light. They need more aides at night time. During the day it smells great but at night the urine smell hits you as soon as you walk into the door. They invite you to eat meals with your family member but the dining room is so chaotic and crowded that you end up just eating in the room.
