Asbury Village was inside the same town that I live in. So, we chose that place for dad. He's got an extra large room there with a bathroom. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner with him. The lunches are larger, which is probably very good, while the dinners are lighter. For breakfast, they ask him what he wants, if it's a hot cereal, cold cereal or a cooked breakfast. For lunch and dinner, there's an a la carte menu, so if dad doesn't like what's being served, he can choose something from the a la carte. It looks like they just renovated the place. So, everything's up to date with new carpeting, new paint, and new furniture throughout the dining halls and living space. It's really nice. The people are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have quite a few activities, and they seemed open to starting anything that he might be interested in. So, looks like there's a lot of activities to do and there are a lot of options.

My mother will be moving into Asbury Village. She needs someone there for meals, for med reminders and just to do laundry and stuff like that. We had looked at it about a year ago, and we liked it, but because of some financial reasons, we couldn't put her there. I remember everybody being nice. The lady remembered my mother and still had information on her, so we were kind of happy about that. She was helpful. She provided everything that we needed for her. The layout was nice because they had an area where she could go out and sit. They had an area for books and things like that, so she was not just sitting up in her room. The rooms were a little bit small to her liking, but to me, it is what she needs. She doesn't need a whole lot. It seemed a little bit of a peaceful building. I think what sold us was the lady. She still remembered the things that we kind of questioned about, and she answered all our questions. She remembered a lot of stuff about my mom.

I toured Asbury Village, but it didn't work out. It was clean and kept updated. They were remodeling. They looked like they had good food to eat. They have just a room with one bed in it and I think you can furnish it yourself pretty much with anything. The staff was really good. She wasn't able to accommodate us, but she went out of her way to help us find another place.

I visited Asbury Village. They're in the middle of remodeling the place, but it seemed very clean. The staff was very nice and very informative. It was a very nice facility. The unit has an apartment size washer and dryer, which is nice. The rooms are large. It's a nice apartment. They were in the middle of repairing the dining area, and it's quite nice. There's a lot of remodeling going on, but the rooms looked really clean.

I visited Asbury Village and the lady I talked to took us around and gave us a tour. The rooms were really nice. They were doing some remodeling and updating some stuff. I was impressed with that. They have different levels of care. So, they would assess Mom and care for her, whatever level she would be at. They have the nursing staff on hand to do what needs to be done when she moves in there. So, all in all, I was very impressed with them. The dining room was set up like a fancy restaurant. It was just very nice.

The tour experience at Asbury Village was okay. I liked best that the independent living was a duplex and not an apartment. That's what I like best about it, that's why I went and looked at it. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I looked at independent living cottages. The one that I saw was very dated and with very little storage. So, it just wasn't going to work for me. Someone had just moved out of that, and they were in the process of doing some cleaning and some repairs. So, I don't know how it is on a regular basis. You got one meal a day, and there was no pool. The dining area is in the assisted living. The staff was very kind and helpful. I think they can update the cottages, like replace the carpet, update the kitchen and the bathroom, provide some storage, and maybe add a carport or garage. Those are the things that I was looking for that I did not find in there. What stood out for me was the staff.

The staff at Asbury Village was very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. We really liked the apartment that she showed us. It was a nice one-bedroom duplex with big rooms and a nice kitchen with a dishwasher, and it was in our price range. The dining area was very nice.

Our overall experience at Asbury Village was really good. They had assisted living in one spot and independent living in another spot. It was reasonable. They had a deposit and accepted dogs. It was clean and really friendly. The individual housings had washers and dryers, large front rooms, and bedroom large enough for a king-sized bed. The kitchen was good, and we loved the bathroom because it has handicap rails and everything else in it.
