This is the best place to live when you cant be at home on your own anymore. The staff are always wanting to make your stay here feels like home as best as they can, giving lots of things to do and choices for food. The therapy staff is making sure that everyone stays active. I was in the rehab area first and then moved to long term care. I think they have a very good program and would recommend coming here for short term rehab and if you cant go home, staying is the next best option.

Wondering about recent changes in some higher salaried employees. One being in charge of kitchen/menu prep (nutritionist). My Klein resident has requested lettuce salad on regular basis only to be told there is no lettuce available! Seriously? Also says it has become a school lunch program style with little variation. Also activities have been cut back. Not as many resident activities anymore due to employee cut backs. Resident health and morale taking a hit for financial cut-backs?

Beautiful rooms and excellent caring staff in the Appletree neighborhood. The staff always keeps us informed and take excellent care of my mother. They truly care about her and love her. All the food looks great to me too and I've eaten it with my mother numerous times. Great PT staff too!

Know someone personally with Cancer and receiving immunotherapy which they are very hopeful about and they were hoping could get rehab here. Insurance approved but they turned around and declined them because they said she was too much of a risk. Doctor and caregiver tried to call and talk to them about it and they have never heard back. That is horrible customer service especially for a hospital. How is her condition any different than anyone else there? All because of them they won't be home for the holidays. If this place is run by the same people who run the hospital then I'm not surprised about the customer service. It's a 0 out of 5. I have heard so many people complain about that place that they are even putting in their records that if they have medical emergencies they don't want to be taken to that hospital. The whole administration needs booted and probably even the way it's being run needs changed. Horrible.

Have a loved one facing a challenging illness or recovery path? This is not the place. Staff has the gall to not return referring physician phone calls and apparently lack comfort in taking care of those who need skilled rehab.

I t is all about the money. What they do is put you in a room and pump you full of drugs. I went in taking only three different medications. Less then six months latter I was on over ,twelve different medications. The problem was I was in for rehab. They sent me to different doctors until they found a doctor that said I was so bad off I would have to stay forever. I was lucky and got a second opinion which showed nothing wrong with me. Never trust what they tell you I am eighty years old and doing great. The most incompetent people I have ever met.

The Klein Center was really nice, but it isn’t really for me yet. They don’t take residents unless they are lot sicker than I am. It’s really new and the food was just absolutely fantastic. They take really good care of you, and everybody has their own private room. When you go down for breakfast in the morning, you sit in an individual area with people that you know, then the cooks come out, ask you what you want for breakfast, and cook it right up for you whether you want sausage and eggs or toast or cereal or anything you want. They’re really taking care of people there. It was spotless, new, and has beautiful grounds around it with walkways and all kinds of flowering plants. It’s one of the nicest care facilities I’ve ever been in.
