I am going to move into Landmark Commons - Friendship Village in about 2 ½ months because we liked it very much. The staff was thoughtful and very caring, and they showed us numerous spaces and places to consider. Depending upon the size that you are procuring, the room is very nicely laid out and well-established. I have been invited over the past couple of years, so we knew about that. Friendship Village Waterloo was just way too big. Everything was nice about it, but it was so big. You have to walk for about a block before you can even get to a room. They have all levels of care. The persons who assisted us with the tour were very nice. The rooms are huge, very open, and had lots of light, and you have to buy into it.

I signed up for Friendship Village. I haven't moved there yet. It seemed like it was going to be good for me. The rooms are really nice. I'll be up on the 5th floor. The people I've met are really, really helpful and really nice. They have an exercise room and they have a library. They had their dining room that you go down ton for lunch. Friendship Village in Waterloo has provided my mother with a very comfortable home. She has been with them nearly 7 years and living independently intially and gradually has come to the nursing home there.
