The Springs Of Richmond is brand new. They have a lack of help on the weekend. My brother said that the food isnt much and he said he's hungry. He's a diabetic so he needs more so they can improve on the food. His sugar went down one night and he couldn't get anybody to help him. The place is nice and clean though and he likes it there. It also doesn't smell like a nursing home. They have a rehab center, beautiful outdoors where they go and sit with umbrellas, a fireplace, and community center. There was a preacher who came in to sing and he preached to them, and they brought in a bunch of food and cake so that was nice; my brother liked it. The rehab room is huge, and they have a library and salon.

I've had two relatives and a friend staying there recently. When my mother was there it was new. The care was horrible. No one was very friendly, and everyone who worked there was very rushed. My mother even lost her brand new clothing the 2nd week she was there! Recently my uncle and friend were there (2018). They both described the food as boring. When my mother stayed there, I asked the woman who was described in advertising as a professional chef who serves "chef exquisite meals" where she got her degree. She said she didn't have a degree. She was a short order cook for years before starting work as a "chef" at The Springs. Any way, the Springs tried so hard to act "upper crust", so they can charge more than most area nursing homes, but they are all talk and no show. Hey, they did have a baby grand player piano that was cool, but that 's the only first class item they had. I transferred my mother out of there to another nursing home after the second month. By the way, they refused to pay for Mom 's new clothes that were lost. How ritzy was that?
