Rawlins House and Fall Creek Retirement Village appeared to be very nice. We had people in there before. My wife's mom and her aunt and uncle had been over there, and it was nice. We like it. The staff was very knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. We didn't go to the actual kitchen area and where they make the meals, but other than that, we saw the whole place. The rooms that we looked at had been renovated. They were going through updating and renovating the rooms. They had new equipment in terms of new refrigerators, and stoves, and they put in new carpets, too. The rooms were very nice. Even during the Covid, they were able to get in many group activities to keep them occupied. The major drawback at the time was Covid and once we took my mom there, it was going to be four weeks that we couldn't go in to visit because it was a quarantine period. Nevertheless, they had a big common room where they would get together and play games. The staff was very good and I like the way the place was laid out.

Rawlins House & Fall Creek looked clean. They offer three meals a day and assistance with anything you need. The staff was very friendly. The girl I met was great. The nurses at the nurses' station acknowledged me.

Lacey is an aide at the Rawlins House that has taken care of both of my parents over the last four years. She is a kind, caring, compassionate person. She consistently goes above and beyond for her patients everyday. She washed and curled my mom's hair, knowing how important this would be to her. She gives me thorough, knowledgeable updates on all aspects of my mom's condition. Lacey is a huge asset to these patients and the Rawlin's House. Thank you Lacey for what you do! Dee Mills

Rawlins House & Fall Creek Retirement Village was great. We walked through the assisted living and short-term rehab, but not the nursing home. We walked in the backdoor, which faced out the road, and we were able to get in with a code. The people were very friendly. It was clean, smelled fine, each door was decorated, and the halls were quite wide and well lit. We saw a few residents enjoying the outside area. The nurse at the rehab was very helpful, gave us a quick tour, showed us the rooms, the floors, the rehab center, and asked for my name and contact information. It was an unannounced visit, and they did really well. If you're totally new to the facility, you might not know which building you're going in, but everybody's very helpful to get you where you need to go. My mother's meals were well prepared and well presented, and there's a variety you can choose from.

My mother went into Rawlins House & Fall Creek. She's doing better there than in the other facility and coming home today. I personally really like the staff because they seemed to know what they were doing and took very good care of them. She did a lot of physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. They had movies, bingo, and musical programs. It was easy to get to, and the inside was fine. She did not like the food.

Rawlins House's staff was friendly. It wasn't a flat rate though. It's mostly convenient because it's closer. We fell in love with the place, especially the way it was painted. The lobby is nice and the food was made on the premises. We haven't had any complaints about the place.

This place is horrible. They do not have enough staff to provide even minimal patient care. Residents sit in urine for hours. Most residents do not get showers because they do not have enough staff. They are working 1 cna to 20 or more people. The nurses are incompetent. Management does not help the staff at all. They just sit in their offices. On call staff are being worked to death to fill holes. The cnas on all halls have horrible attitudes and will be rude straight to your face. No one is ever in uniform. Sweatpants and earbuds must be the dress code at this facility bc all staff use them early in the mornings and late evenings. Very unprofessional. This place has had bed bugs and lice multiple times, they don't attempt to contain it they just move the people spreading it to other halls. I would not trust Rawlins house with any of my family members. Upper management has run that building into the ground and it is infuriating to see how far that building has fallen.

I spent some time at rawlins house. I won't say how but I will say that the treatment of employees and residents here is horrific. Some residents will sit in their urine for 12+ hours due to some nurses and aides picking favorites. The management is horrible and unprofessional. Some of the nurses are rude and not well groomed while others aren't as bad. I know everyone has different experiences as I've read some good reviews on the place but this is my impression from what I experienced.

This is a terrible place for the elderly and the staff. I've visited my mom on numerous occasions and I always see the same girls working . I've went in every single day for a week and seen the exactly same girls ! It's horrific. The staff members cannot provide adequate and proper care with so many residents under their belts. It's sad and shameful. And the residents have to sit and wait to to be toileted, wait to have a shower, wait for their meals and wait for help period. My mother had to wait over 30 minutes in the dining room for her food. Dinner is supposed to start at 5 or 5:30 they don't start until 6 o clock some nights ! They have aides doing all the work passing drinks passing trays running around like crazy . I've never seen girls work so hard I feel sorry and helpless for them . Don't get me wrong there are some not so good ones either but a lot of the staff are overworked seem agitated and annoyed . Some one needs to do something about this place . I've also overheard nurses talking about beg bugs and lice how awful !

Management is rude to family members as well as their staff. There is a huge turnover in staff. Management openly speaks out badly about other "problem" residents as well as "problem" family members within ear shot of other residents amd families. Young management who act very high schoolish gossiping with staff and even about other staff. Nurses work short because they cant keep good nurses. Very bad experience. They are currently being sued by a former resident.

Nice facility the staff are awesome but I am at my wits end with the Administration. Money Money Money!!!! I try to accommodate this place the best I can. When ever a money issue comes up they stop short of accusing me of stealing my mothers money when it is an issue they caused or something out of my control.. I wish this would make it to the Owner of the facilities so they would know exactly what is going on. No other option for my mom due to convenience so I guess I got to live with it. Rating only reflects dealing with Admin and Business office. The care is really good.

Overall, the assisted living section of Rawlins was pretty decent and nice. I just toured this part of the facility. The staff was very accommodating in providing a lot of details as far as what they offer. I did see the rooms, I wouldn't call them spacious but they're kind of comparable to everything else I looked at. They were clean and they had all of the different handicapped facilities and items that you would see in an assisted living apartment.

Rawlins House is newer and nicer. But I thought the administration was all business. The residents were just numbers; they weren't real people. They didn't really have my dad's best interest at heart. They just look at numbers and he was "a number". I wish the administration is more personalized. I have no problem with the care itself and the nurses. Although a couple of them weren't the best.
