We have chosen Raintree Square. It is an older building, but my mom feels comfortable there. She knows some other people there, and actually, the reason she went with this place is because my grandmother was there years ago, so it is more comfortable for her. The rooms are modest but clean, and the staff so far seems to be very nice and helpful. I was not able to taste the food because they still don't allow visitors in the dining area right now. We were able to go just to the edge of the dining room, and everyone seemed to be enjoying what I would call a normal meal. It was not something fancy, but it is something what I would probably describe as home cooking. They are just starting activities back up.

I was very pleased with Raintree Square. You can get a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, or a studio apartment. The staff was very accommodating. It's very reasonably priced and I like the people there. The dining room was family style with four chairs at each table. They have bingo, and they take them out to summer concerts, to Wal-Mart, and to doctors' appointments that you have to pay extra for. They have a pond, a garden area, and walking trails.

When it became too difficult for my grandmother to live on her own, we convinced her to move to Raintree. We already knew of several people that lived there that really seemed to like it. At first she was upset as it wasn't "her" home. However, after several months she is happier now than she has been in years. The staff does an excellent job of caring for the residents. According to my grandmother they have the "best cooks around". The staff does a great job of looking caring for the residents. They have a lot of activities that they can opt in or out of. Our experience has been extremely favorable.

This facility was not at the top of my list, but it wasn't terrible either. It seemed to be fairly clean and the staff seemed friendly, but there were some issues with roommates for my grandmother and i do not think that those situations were handled in the best manner, but I understand that no place is perfect.

After my Father's stroke, we toured Raintree Square to see if my Father would enjoy living there. He was in a wheelchair and had some brain damage and we wanted to make sure he really would be assisted if living at this facility. What we saw was very positive, and my Dad moved in. During my Father's stay, he made many new friends, became part of the Euchre club, went on several field trips, attended parties and was even assisted in shopping at the local store. After a few years, my Father's health degraded and he moved in with me. He didn't want to cut his ties to Raintree Square, so I took him twice a week for Euchre and he even went back for the New Year's Eve party. As far as the staff and management are concerned, I never had one negative interaction with them. They loved my Dad, as they did all their residents and always made him feel welcome when they saw him. Even the cafeteria staff greeted him by name when he rolled in for dinner. After all I saw, the number of times that staff made my Dad feel important and loved and the time they spent helping him..I personally would want to live at Raintree Square if I ever needed to.
