My mother is in Waterford Place Health Campus. It's like a nursing home-type setting. They've been helpful and they work with us and keep us updated. I've eaten there a couple of times with my mom and it's been pretty good. They play bingo, they have entertainment come in, and people sing. My mom said one night they had a comedian. It's clean and very nice.

My friend moved in at Waterford Place Health Campus. Their social worker is really good. She helped us with lots of questions. She helped organize a meeting so we could all be together and talk about our expectations and our needs. They are just great. My friend's room is clean and it smells nice. He said the food is really good. They have activities for the residents to do. They have a community room for them to go to so that people can hang out and do different things.

Not very much value here for the monthly rent. No meals included other plces include btwo meals a day for independent living. They have been letting residents dogs run loose. Villas are OK but overpriced. Clubhouse is OK, but again not much to do there.

We went to Waterford Place Health Campus, and what I liked about their memory care is it's in a completely separate building. I went there two different times and I saw both assisted living and memory care. Waterford had the most nursing staff dedicated to the people, so more care and higher-level skilled nursing care.

We were over at Waterford Place Health Campus. A friend of ours from church was in there, and they seemed to take good care of him. We'd go in and say hi to him after Sunday service. It was clean, when we visited, he'd invite us to stay and eat dinner with him, and they'd have a nice little buffet where you could get your meat, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert, everything we could eat, but this was all before the Corona virus. I met the staff in the lunchroom, they would come out, change out the food, and keep everything clean. They seemed friendly.

We toured Waterford Place Health Campus about a year or two years ago. We didnt like that place. At that point my husband did not feel comfortable. It seemed nice and well decorated, but at that time I heard that the food was not that good. I think they would probably do a good job, but it was too big and impersonal. For my husband it was a little bit scary at that time; he was not ready. The staff was good and friendly. I think it looked pretty nice and up to date.

I've placed my mom in Waterford Place. Because of COVID, I have no idea what the food is like. My mom is in memory care, so we do activities just to keep them busy. We can't do anything that has to do with usage of your cognitive abilities. I thought the room was fairly spacious for a single person. Dining area is quite large.

My Mom who passed away last summer spent 30 days there in the Spring of 2018. I was not happy with the care. I had to stay on the staff to make sure she was bathed every third day. Each shift was too busy but would promise me the next shift would bathe her but when I would visit the next morning it had not been done. I also requested that it be done in the morning or early afternoon when dementia patients are at their best but they insisted on trying to bathe her in the very late afternoon when most are at their worst. Even after 30 days there this simple request of bathing every 3rd day and in the first half of the day was never accomplished. Bed rails are not allowed and my mom upon getting out of bed at night to go to the bathroom sustained two very bad falls with head injuries. I was told they only have one person at night to keep on eye on patients and if they are busy with one they can't oversee the others. No video cameras for the halls or rooms to watch for wondering patients. Overall I feel this was a poorly managed facility and I would never put a loved one there again knowing what I know now. I was clean and pretty but the basic care is lacking.

My mother was there for rehab. She was offered a choice of Sugar Cream pie or Pecan for dessert; only problem is she is insulin dependent diabetic. Dietician did not have it in her chart that she was a diabetic! Doctor was in with some recommendations, after three days I called to see if the what progress had been made on the recommendations. No one had read the chart to see that he had been in! Extremely poor communication. I was told she was on a pureed diet because she was having trouble swallowing. I saw she was having crackers and went to ask why crackers . . . oops, they told me wrong information, they thought I was the daughter of another patient! ! My mother is also a big patient and they had no wheel chair for her. They finally rented one and they could never find the right lift to assist her. Apparently they have never heard of the obesity crisis in the US! ! !Administration needs to hire more help or address the very serious communication issues. Can't see how they have a 5 star rating ! ! !

We went to Waterford Place Health Campus, and I was disappointed in the nursing home itself. While other places had apartments, Waterford had more like a single room within the building, which I didn't like at all. The cleanliness was fine. The staff was friendly.

I'm living at Waterford Place, and it's been fine. The staff member was very kind, patient, and concerned. My apartment is very nice, it's a duplex, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, with a garage, and it's brand new. They have bible study, we go out to eat at least once a month, there's social time every Friday afternoon, and different times during the week they play cards.

Waterford Place had a small number of units. We didn't see a room because they were all booked up when we went there. There were group activities that were organized by the community. They were going out to lunch to a nearby restaurant. I only met one staff member, and she was nice. The location was fine. The price was expensive, but they're all expensive.

Waterford Place Health Campus was very nice. The staff was amazing. The cafeteria was more like an Italian bistro. The only thing I didn't like was that they only have a single room.

My friend was at Waterford Place Health Campus. The food was good. The nurses were very nice. The staff was always available and wonderful. My friend was given physical therapy and did great there. I didn't see anything wrong with them. They kept the place up as good as possible. It was nice and clean and didn't smell like pee.

My mother has dementia and she was sent to Waterford for rehab. They would dress her with clothes that were not hers and very sloppy. While there she broke her hip and was sent to the hospital and had surgery. Then back again to Waterford rehab. While she was there they lost her teeth. She had a appointment with the doctor, they dropped her off at the hospital in a wheel chair and had no foot rest, Her feet was hitting the floor. I was in shock to see how they sent my mother to see the doctor. I went back to Waterford and ask why she was sent that way. Answer was " new people got her ready ". There were some people there that was good to her, but didn't have time to give the care that she needed. This is also a training area which several people were in the area and working with my mother. She had enough problems without having all these people asking her question!!!

Went in to see my great grandfather. We sat down at the dinner table with him and after maybe, 5 or so minutes a man comes up to my mother and i and says we need to leave. He was also yelling at another resident, getting up in her face, and just being down right nasty. This place does not take very good care of the residents, OR THE FAMILIES. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

For being Kokomo's highest rated, and only five-star, nursing home, I expected all of the staff to be caring and attentive. Sadly, the interactions of multiple staff members with my elderly parent were almost wholly devoid of genuine compassion and concern. Though a couple of staff members were excellent in treating her as if they recognized her inherent dignity and worth, the majority fell short in this regard. Family members and friends were also responded to dismissively or defensively when asking legitimate questions or offering information that should have been welcomed as helpful. My experience left me questioning why some of the staff members even chose to work within the health care profession.

The Waterford was very nice, and the dining facilities and the food were excellent. However, nursing homes are understaffed. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very friendly. They had a program going on at that time.

I was very disappointed in this facility. The staff is very nice but they do not listen to the family. They could not handle my mom and instead of trying to let her get used to the facility they put her on Xanax 3 times a day. She became very paranoid and thought she was in a concentration camp. She thought someone was going to kill her and then they tried to blame her paranoia on a UTI. She had a hip replacement which is why she was placed at Waterford, then while there less than a month, she fell and broke the other hip. She was given breathing treatments even though we requested they NOT give her breathing treatments. Her oxygen level was 96 or higher. When we found out the drugs they were giving her, we requested they take her off all the drugs, only to find out they gave them to her again the next day. I would never send anyone to this facility. The meals are white sugar and white flour, no nutritional value and cause constipation. My mom has dementia which is now worse. They could not handle her and it never occurred to them that maybe it was because of the drugs. They wanted to send her to a place in Lebanon that deals with crazy people. She is not crazy, she has Dementia. She fell many times while in the facility, when she broke the other hip, they did not take her to the hospital until more than 6 hours after the fall and when they contacted family members, they said she was fine and did not explain the severity of the fall. I was very disappointed in this facility and if this is the best Kokomo has to offer, that is very sad.

We opted for Waterford Place Health Campus for my mom because of various reasons. First, it had different divisions for rehabilitation. The residents were segregated depending on their needs. Another, the staff seemed interested, professional and well-trained. The building was also nicely decorated and spacious.

Waterford Place is a great facility for those nearing the end of their time with us. The staff was always exceptional and welcoming. They have treated my family, both those living there and those visiting, with respect and care. They have even allowed us to come on holidays and have (rather large) gatherings and celebrate together. My grandmother died the day after Christmas in 2008 and we were able to have a nice family dinner and gift exchange with her the night before. The facilities themselves are very nice and convenient for patients. The location is towards the northeast end of the city, which was very convenient for my family. It was also a short drive to the hospital, should anything happen to a patient or if there was an appointment they had to make. The one downside to this facility was a certain faculty member who was not very welcoming or nice to my family. She would not speak to my grandmother (the patient) and often ignored us. I do believe this person had a past with one of my family members, but she should not have let that interfere with her work.
