I visited The Waters of Hobart. They were very friendly. It seemed very accommodating and clean, and they could handle his medical needs. The rooms are double occupancy. So, he would have a roommate, but I think that's a good thing to have someone else with him that he can talk to. The rooms seem very nice. They have activities like bingo and some other games and gatherings that they do.

Please don't bring your loved one here. Horrible conditions. Building in disrepair. Patients neglected in urine soaked beds. Truly what every aging person has nightmares about. I found my loved one NAKED falling out of the bed at 730am on a Sunday morning. Just awful. When I brought it to the attention of staff, the administration threatened me. I have pictures AND video.

My grandmother was in Miller's Merry Manor in Hobart for a couple of months for a rehab there. It was okay. But the staff was not very personable. My grandmother was diabetic and her sugar was 450 one day. My cousin sat there with my grandmother for eight hours and they never checked her and when my cousin went to tell them, they told her that she was being checked three times a day. My cousin told them that she was there all day and my grandmother hadn't been checked and they insisted that they had. The food that they were giving her was not low in sugar and they were giving her a lot of carbohydrates and desserts. So, not only was it not being monitored, but they were not preventing her high blood sugar intake. It was like just they would give her whatever food and they would just give her insulin shots.
