Lutheran Life Villages keeps the residents busy every day. Everybody has been happy with the activities that they have every day, like bingo, therapy, cards, and crafts. Different restaurants would bring food, and there's a place where you could get your hair done. In the long-term care, the staff is really great. They also had people come in to show off different dances. The food was good, and you could go in any time to eat; just get a ticket at the door and you're fine. We're very impressed. They give each person an option to buy different things with special money. I thought that was very good. My mom couldn't get any better care. The people are friendly and they know everybody by their first name. When you walk in, it's nice and cozy and not like a nursing home. I like the community; it just feel right.

I went to The Village at Anthony Boulevard. I thought it was very well kept, the outside and the inside. I saw some of the community areas. I saw the community center. They have a little fitness center with physical therapy and occupational therapy. And they were all very good. The staff member who showed me around was very helpful, and very informative. I liked the wide variety of amenities, and also the chapel service every day.

My mother was in Lutheran Homes for rehab. She was there for 3 weeks, and it's extremely positive. They had private rooms, the food was cooked from scratch, and the meals were very well planned. The health care is great there, and there's a waiting list all the time to get in there. They pay attention to detail, it's very clean, very friendly, and the food is great. She had physical therapy and nursing care. She had a large, private room, like 2 rooms plus the bath. There was an area for company, TV, table next to the bed, there was a couch and a chair for both the staff and the residents. You won't be stuck in the bed all day. Lutheran is well known in the community for years. It's very clean.

I thought Lutheran Life Villages was an excellent facility. The staff was great. It was very clean and personable. The staff did an excellent tour to us. The food was fabulous, it looked like a restaurant, and you could order off of the menu instead of them dragging you out a turkey leg. They had a lot of different things like boxing, wood working, and things you would ordinarily find in a nursing facility.

I think I’ve decided on Lutheran Life Villages. I have visited there several times with luncheons; they’ve always been so friendly. I know several people that are living there, and they’ve been very happy. The one thing I liked about their rooms was they had a large storage area. I think it was like 4x6, and it had shelves. I did like the arrangements of the rooms, and they do have a lot of activities. I am Lutheran, and they have chapel services there and a chaplain that’s on duty. They take you to the grocery store, to the bank, and to Wal-Mart once a week. They had exercises, cards, Wii bowling, and movies.
