My loved one lived here for nearly 5 years and in my opinion, Grand Brook is one of the better facilities. Although they have recent turnover of some caregivers and support staff, their core staff has remained solid and are committed to the family type atmosphere and are working hard to fix issues. It is unfortunate when a couple family members with unrealistic expectations spread their toxicity into a caring place where the caregivers are working so hard. It was a tough decision to move my husband here nearly 5 years ago, but he was always well taken care of and made to feel that he was part of a family. Every place will have its positives and negatives and GB is no different from others in the challenges it faces. But if you are faced with this tough decision, Grand Brook Memory Care of Fishers is certainly one of the better facilities in the greater Indianapolis area. Strongly recommend that you check them out.

The facility is beautifully designed and the courtyard is lovely in the warmer weather, but this just can’t make up for the decline in quality of the services provided, particularly given the price point: Cleaning and upkeep have suffered a great deal over the past year. They employ one housekeeper and one maintenance person, but over the past year, those positions have been vacant more time than filled as they’ve gone through 5 housekeepers and 5 maintenance guys. The result is my loved one’s room not being vacuumed for months nor the bathroom cleaned beyond a cursory wipe down of the vanity, sink and toilet. Bathroom floors and shower only cleaned once in the past 7 months. There was a Covid plus a gastrointestinal virus outbreak in January 2025 that affected my loved one. Common area carpets are stained and often littered with food that doesn’t get picked up for days. And, there is a hole in the courtyard overhang which was opened after a grill fire in summer of 2023 that has yet to be fixed and closed up. There was a dryer lint fire in August 2024. There were two water pipe bursts that resulted in flooding in January 2025 (this occurred in 2022 as well). The food is pretty awful. There is no chef and nothing is homemade or cooked from scratch in-house. They order all food prepackaged from a large food supply vendor and warm it up. Deli meat sandwiches with potato chips are frequently served for dinner, which are high in preservatives and sodium. They rarely have fresh vegetables and fruit and the lettuce used for salads is iceberg. They reduced LPN/QMA/CNA staff levels to 5 during daytime hours and 3 during night time hours for 36 memory care residents. This is a pretty high resident to aide ratio when considering the level of care required for a cognitively impaired resident population. A family Council was formed in October 2024, and is working to get this place back to its prior positive quality level and reputation from 3 years ago, but there’s quite a lot of work that Grand Brook has to do to get there.

I toured Grand Brook Memory Care of Fishers. It was very nice and clean, and the people were friendly. The rooms were small, but they were efficient. The dining area looked very nice. The place was very clean, and there was no odor. It was very well kept. I've seen people walking around cleaning. It looked like they had someone going around cleaning regularly.

Grand Brook Memory Care was very unique. It has around 36 beds, and it's all memory care. It's a family run business, and it's very nice from all I can see. Everything was top notch, and for strictly memory care, it's really great. The one staff member that took me on my tour was really very nice. She calls me to make sure if I'm doing OK, and if there's any change with my husband. They have an area where you can sit outdoors, and I thought their security was really nice. The building was new, very, very clean, and I didn't find anything wrong with it.

My husband is in Grand Brook Memory Care of Fishers. I like the layout of the place. It's very inviting and when you walk in the front door the decor is very pleasing. It doesn't look like a hotel, which I think a lot of other communities look like. Its very homey and well appointed in terms of the decor. It just stood out among the ones that I've looked at. The staff is wonderful. He doesn't interact really well, but they have music at all times coming in, and he does enjoy that. They also have story time and all kinds of things for the residents. He was having some problems feeding himself so I was there for several meals to help him with that. Honestly, the food looks wonderful. I tried it a little and it tastes good too. I have no problem with anybody on the staff. The cost is so expensive, but all the other places are about the same that I looked at. So I think I'm getting more value for the same cost. Compared to other places I have visited, this one is much more inviting the way it's done. The residents are divided into two areas with one on each side.
