My mother seems happy at Sunrise of Schaumburg. She seems well taken care of and well fed. For the most part, we're happy with them. They have sing-alongs, they do movies, they've done cooking classes where they've made cookies, they've done work with beads, making necklaces or bracelets, and they've done painting class. They have a patio or a deck where, weather permitting, they can go outside. There seems to be a lot of confusion with her billing though, but what we've been told is they're trying to correct it. She's in memory care.

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Schaumburg, but I think my sister would need more of a supported living arrangement because they said if she ran out of money, she would have to leave and I don't want to get into that situation. I was very impressed with the staff, from the janitor to the housekeeping to the director and the person that does the activities. Everybody seemed to love their job. Most of them have been there for a very long time. You got to have people that like their job, that want to be there, to get good care, so I was impressed with that. I was impressed with everything. It's on the small side, so that was fine. Another drawback is my sister's ability to do more things than most of the people that were there. Other than that, I loved everything about it. The people were very nice. The people that were staying there also were super nice and friendly. The tour was very thorough. The staff gave me the pricing. I got to see the dining room, which I thought was very nice. I didn't have too many questions other than what happens when they run out of money. The staff during the tour was phenomenal. The facility was a little on the older side. It's not like it was really bad. The carpet could be replaced on some of the floors. The rooms were small but adequate. They had refrigerators and sinks. You could have appliances that automatically shut off, like a coffeemaker that automatically shuts off after a certain amount of time. They don't mind you having those types of things. Other than that, they don't want you to have anything else in your room. There's a place where you can get coffee and snacks and stuff like that near the dining room.

Sunrise of Schaumburg was a nice place. They have three care levels: memory care, nursing home, and assisted living. I like the place, but it's farther down from us. We have to consider driving. In terms of the staff, I met one guy there. He was good. Their dining area was nice and bigger than the one at the other place I toured. It's like a restaurant. It's an open concept dining room. The facility was very clean. The atmosphere there is very welcoming when you go in.

My husband is at Sunrise of Schaumburg. We have chosen this place because of the location, proximity to our home, professionalism of the staff, and some very positive references we had from people who have been there. The facility looks very good, and the layout is well thought out. There's quite a few activities, like entertainment, games, and some physical exercises.

Everything about Sunrise of Schaumburg was nice. The rooms were very clean and had new carpet. They had a small kitchenette and walk-in showers. Some of them had hardwood floors. I prefer that over the carpet because with my mother being in a wheelchair, it's easier to go with the vinyl flooring rather than the carpet.

Sunrise of Schaumburg's location was one of the things that we first considered why we chose it for mom. The second one was, they were willing to work with the price and that's a big thing. They had a special going on where their entrance fee was lower and they were able to lock in a price for a couple of years for us. Her room is quite large and accommodating. The staff is very attentive, welcoming, and she has made a lot of nice friends there, and she's engaging with the activities that they run. All the residents we met were super happy. They have a beautiful screened-in porch for the residents on the first floor and an outdoor patio. She happens to be right near the activity room, so that's convenient for her. Overall, it's a very nice place, and my mom has not had any complaints at all about the food. They have a big and nice variety of meals. She had some medical issues that just came up, and they acted very quickly to get her medical care, so they were right on top of everything. The administrator, whom we met the first time on the tour, keeps me informed by phone every couple of days about my mom, even to this day, about how she's adjusting. It's real personalized care.

I'm very happy with Sunrise of Schaumburg. My relative has been doing a lot better since she moved there. She's getting really good care, and she seems really happy. They have bingo, they help cook or bake, crochet, she's gone on an outing for lunch, and they have all kinds of things. The food is very good and the staff is wonderful. I'm paying a lot, but she's getting great service.

Sunrise of Schaumburg has the same kind of feel as their sister community that we also toured. They didn't have any outside facilities and my husband is an outside person. They don't have any gardens or walking paths. The place was very nice, it just didn't have the feel that I was looking for. I was only able to talk to their sales person. The community was clean, but didn't get that homey feel.

Sunrise of Schaumburg was a very nice place and it's a smaller facility. Price-wise, it was acceptable. The cleanliness of the facility was very good.

Sunrise of Schaumburg was nice and everything looked fine. The only thing that was different was it seems that there must be a lot of dogs in the building. Every time I went to the lobby, there were 3 different women who walk their dogs around the building. It just surprised me because I have never seen a dog anywhere else, but not that that’s bad. The lady who took us around was really nice, answered our questions, made us feel comfortable, and did a really good job with doing the tour.

I felt that Sunrise was cheap, and the building looked depressing. The furniture was real cheap; it wasn’t attractive, and it didn’t appeal to me. They had cheap painted white chairs and cheap foamy cushions. They had beige, tan, or green and white as basic colors. They had an old hotel like carpeting. The staff was OK, and they seemed to like their job and cared about the residents, but they looked depressed. However, it was fairly affordable.

We chose Sunrise of Schaumburg, and we are very happy with the place right now. The staff is very patient, compassionate, and informative. When we go there, they can tell us a lot about what my dad's day has been like. They are very receptive to anything that we bring up. The rooms are an appropriate size. They appear to be very clean. He has a bathroom, and it is a shared room, but for the most part, he has been in there by himself. The room size is adequate.

Sunrise of Schaumburg is very devoted. They look after the people, but it is very expensive to stay there. The food is okay, and a lot of it is pre-prepared. I was in the kitchen, and I saw boxes of cake mix and different kinds of mixes. I saw for a fact they are always in a hurry to feed the people and get them to their room, so they can have their break after dinner. That didn’t impress me. The people are well cared for, but the only thing is, I don’t think they have the extra touch that they should have when they are charging that kind of money. The facility itself is very well kept. It’s very nice. The rooms are nice and clean. They do all kinds of projects for the people. There is a lady who takes care of their weekly program.

We really like Sunrise of Schaumburg, and it's a convenient location. The staff is excellent; they have a good attitude and are willing to work with us. I think that the staff is very caring, the facility is very nice, and I have nothing bad to say about them.

Sunrise was what I was looking for. It is very nice, clean, it smells good, and the people are smiling. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, and everything was fine.

My mom was at Sunrise for a while on a trial, and she says that the food there was decent. Their cost structure is such that you're in a situation where you could be paying for services that you don't really need or use. Our contact with the staff was good. They probably have more people serving you there, so maybe you get a little bit more attention. The rooms were a little bit more spacious. The room that she had, she had to share a bathroom with another resident, and in order for her to have her own bathroom, we would have to move her to another room which was even more expensive. They show movies. There's bingo, crafts, and physical games, or maybe they're sitting down and they're hitting a balloon with a plastic bat or something like that. She was starting to get more comfortable. That was her first move out of her own home, so that's difficult to begin with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, but at the same time, I would tell them it's very expensive.

Sunrise of Schaumburg felt very homey the first time I came in. The staff seemed very nice, although I only talked to the sales person, and she was very informative. Their rooms are very, very small. She could only fit a twin-size bed and a chair. They seemed to have activities that my mom can possibly participate in.

It's a great place, it couldn't be any better. I like it there and everybody who is there likes it. It's a good place. The help is there. It's friendly and it's not too big. Everybody is friendly there. They do good work in taking good care of my mother. The food and the staff, everything is top notch. It's excellent. My mom is happier there and it's really a good place. I would recommend this facility to others.

Its a great country home looking facility that has a dog living within the facility. They are a nice dinning room and barbor on 'campus'. It like being on a vacation forever for my grandma. Staff is great and treats all the elderly with respect. The food is tasty and a great serving. The weekly events are a nice change then watching television all day.
