This place is so cute. I love the at home feel. I toured with Nathan and he is so great and is friendly and caring. My parents decided to stay out of state, but this would be where they go when they do move back to Illinois. Just a great homelike feel!

When I was starting to look into senior living for myself, I found Independence Village and Nathan to be resourceful and knowledgeable about seniors and the needs we have. The staff was nice and talking with the residents. He did show me a one bedroom and a studio apartment. I like the size of both and found them to be quite nice. A nice community to consider for the future.

I have been looking for a community for my dad for a few months now and stumbled upon Independence Village. They were recommended by a neighbor who had a parent here. I scheduled a tour and took a look around. It is very nice, clean and is well maintained. It’s really different from communities in the are which all kind of look the same to be honest. The apartments are a good size with nice storage and have been remodeled. This is definitely on my shortlist for my dad when the time comes. Nathan was also knowledgeable and helpful when answering my questions.

The man running this place was helpful with advice about expences . He was knowledgeable about seniors and seemed protective and caring of seniors. I would haved picked this place if my moms's health didn't decline so quickly before she passed, I know she would have enjoyed this place, it's beautiful and affordable.

At Independence Village of Naperville, their prices and their lifetime rate guarantee were phenomenal. It was family-owned, it was very clean, and the residents looked happy. I took a tour through the whole building, so I saw some apartments, the dining room, the activity room, and the courtyard. I saw everything. I also saw a beauty shop. I have tried their food, and it was good. I talked to the residents and they enjoyed living there. They liked the food and the activities. The staff was very knowledgeable and very interactive with my dad. The place was very clean. It didn't smell like a nursing home or anything.

Independence Village of Naperville had the best rooms that we have seen, in the way they were laid out and their cabinet space. It was a one bedroom and one bath that we looked at. They also have a one bedroom with two baths but that was more money. The owner's son gave us the tour. They have about three places and so it is owned by a family. They make sure they have activities on Sunday. He gave me a paper where they had all their activities on it. Their library was kind of just bookshelves, but they had a beauty salon. Location-wise I loved it. Their meal choices were simpler than other places, and I liked that. At our age, we don't need big meals.

My mother could no longer care for herself or live on her own after falling. Her hospital social worker recommended we check out Independence Village. This was the perfect place for her. It is NOT a nursing home. There residents interact with each other, eat together but they have their own apartments. My mom is only 78 and since they have lifetime rates, she will not have to worry about rent increases ever. We worked with Barbara and she was very helpful. My mom was worried we were sending her to a nursing home but once we got there she was so surprised to see so many happy residents doing activities. They welcomed her right away.

My mom, 77, has lived in 2 other supportive living communities in the western suburbs, and by far, Independence Village is the cleanest, well-maintained and staffed of them all. Residents are happy, and have numerous activity options available to them. Meals are excellent and when extra assistance services are needed, they can be added on easily.

My grandmother loves living at Independence Village. She was living alone, not eating well and not getting out. It took her awhile to get used to her new home, but now she goes on the shuttle to go to the fun places like the casino or restaurants as well as shopping. She seemed to go into a depression after my grandfather died but after being in a senior community, she is getting back to her old self. She has learned some new card games and loves getting her hair done at the salon.

I am very impressed with the caring staff offIndependence Village. My mom is so much more comfortable here than she was at her previous residence, which was large and expensive. Mom said she just felt like a number there, and at Independence everyone knows her name and cares about her well-being.

My friend moved in this past Spring. I looked at numerous other assisted living communities for him in Naperville and found Independence Village to be warm and friendly. When I walked in it felt like home. The staff is outstanding. They know all the residents names and are treated like family. They truly care about their residents and it shows. From the way they interact with their residents to the activities and parties they offer, to the trips they take. You can't put a price tag on that. My friend is very happy living there.

While looking for my mother in law, I probably visited 3 or 4 communities. When I got to Independence Village, the feeling and energy was awesome! People were out in the common areas talking, staff was interacting, it was great. The guy, Nathan, who gave us the tour and did paperwork was outstanding, he made sure the right needs were met for my mother in law, and that this was the right move for her. He was patient with all of our questions and really cared about this being a success. We were impressed with how clean the community is, how happy the residents are, the top notch staff, and on top of all that they have lifetime rates. My wife and I are really happy, and so is my mother in law, she's already made a few friends.

Independence Village is a wonderful community for seniors who are looking for a warm and welcoming place to call home. The staff takes pride in caring for each resident like family. As my mother began to need more assistance with daily activities, I was able to add care as she needed it with their home care partner that is in house 24 hours a day. My mom enjoyed playing cards and games with her friends, outings and shopping trips. She also loved the garden courtyard designed for residents who love to garden. The location is perfect, nestled in a neighborhood of downtown Naperville. She loved to go walking around the riverwalk which is right across the street and an amazing resale shop is just steps away! Their rates are set for life. My mom's rent never increased while she was a resident. Friends had warned us about other senior communities raising rent rates as high as 15% every year--that was not something we had to worry about. My family had lunch a couple of times with my mom and it was quite good. She put on some much needed weight. I highly recommend Independence Village for your loved ones.

My mother-in-law is at Independence Village of Naperville for a temporary stay. She liked it the best. We're trying that right now. If everything goes well, that's where she will be going. We chose it only because of financial reasons. Once you go in, the monthly rate will never increase as long as that person lives there. That's the biggest reason we have picked the Independence Village. It's excellent for older people with a fixed income. The sales director was very helpful, very sincere, caring, and honest. Three meals are included. My mother-in-law has sampled the lunch the first time, and now she's there. She's eating and she likes the food. I've seen ladies working on puzzles. The first time I visited they had a Mexican fiesta. It was Cinco de Mayo. However, the buildings are not new, and the remodeling is very, very slow.

My parents moved in a year ago after a series of health crisis made it unwise to continue living on their own. I appreciate the way they can still maintain their independence by having their own apartment but have the safety aspect of nurses checking in on them and monitoring their meds and wellbeing. All the staff is friendly and respectful and know their names and talk to them in the halls and great rooms. They are not activity-people but did take a trip to a play recently and loved it. They have a 2 bedroom apartment which is a one bedroom connected to a studio. The kitchenette with its mini fridge and microwave is perfect for storing snacks and drinks and they take their meals in the dining hall. The closets are huge! Mom’s bathroom had a ADA shower area and dads has a regular tub. Both are equipped with grab bars and the pull chain to call for help if needed.

I liked Independence Village of Naperville. Nathan was wonderful. He gave us all the information that we needed. He even gave us options for things. They worked with us on the finances, and they were really great. They were redoing a lot of stuff in some parts of the building, so they're making it nicer. Even though they were under construction, the place still looked clean and neat. It felt cozy and homey. The residents were well cared for. The rooms were nice and big. We saw a studio apartment and it still looked roomy. The residents were doing puzzles when we were there. They had a crafts room and a church on campus. They have plenty of activities on the activity board like bus trips and card games. They also had exercise classes and a bowling team.

Independence Village of Naperville seemed very cozy and the rooms and the apartments were spacious. I toured independent living and I liked the person who took me around. I still remember that her name is Denise. The only thing is it just seemed kind of worn out but that would be my second choice if I didn't go with my first one. I'm sure they had an exercise room and a library, but I don't remember what else they had. The facility was very clean and it is centrally located. It's in Naperville and right now, I live in the suburb right next to Naperville, so I could still be closer to my friends here if I move there.

Independence Village of Naperville was a nice place. They were very friendly and they provide three meals a day. It's the one-bedroom that I looked at, and it was very nice and a pretty good size. It had an individual bedroom and a kitchen, and a nice closet space. They had a beautiful dining room, they they have what they call "the great room," a library, and a laundry room. I think it was a wonderful and a pretty nice place, but I think it was more comparable to an upgraded nursing home. There were people playing bingo while I was there in the activity room. They have a little refrigerator, and a tiny sink, but there was really no need to have anything more because they already serve meals. They just had space for if you wanted special cooking. It also had a microwave. Their staff was wonderful. If I have to live there, I can drive my car if I want to, but I would actually have access to a ride to grocery shopping or anything like that.

Independence Village of Naperville was nice. My mother likes to work outside, and she likes to walk in parks, but this facility is a little too urban. We were looking for something a little bit closer to a park and so on. It had all the usual amenities. They had a kitchen to use if they wanted. I think their activities were limited by COVID. I saw examples of their apartments.

Independence Village of Naperville was a very nice place. The downside was the size of the kitchen for my mother. She's still fairly independent, although she needs assistance with medication management. The kitchen was quite small and had a small refrigerator, and for someone who does her own food, particularly breakfast, we didn't feel it was adequate for her needs, although everything else was very nice. The people were very friendly and spent a lot of time with us. We saw several of their floor plans, and we enjoyed their residents and the community itself. They're in the process of renovating their kitchen area, and their dining room was spacious and well appointed. A lot of the residents were involved downstairs in the communal areas. There were puzzles, card games, and outdoor sitting areas. The activities in the calendar all looked nice.

I enjoyed Independence Village of Naperville, but it's not a place that Mom would be comfortable. I like the people there, and I like the setup and everything, but they didn't have a lot of activities for the residents. They had great menus and a dining room. The place looked clean, but there were things that needed to be fixed, like making their gardens handicap accessible.

We are now residents of Independence Village. I love everything. One of the things I appreciate the most is the healthcare. They take my husband's blood pressure and they come right in on their own. I love that. I like everything about it. The food is fabulous. The people are wonderful. The nurses are amazing. The staff can't help you enough; they're just fabulous. It is the best place I have ever lived. I'm happy to be here and so is my husband. It is just so amazing. They're just the best. The whole place is wonderful; the people are wonderful. You feel like you're at home.

I liked Independence Village of Naperville. The staff, Heidi, and the residents were wonderful. We ate there, and it was great. We're considering it because of the amenities with the transportation, the three meals a day, and the housekeeping. I really enjoyed meeting the residents there. I was impressed with their grounds and their inside. I've gone over certain concerns that my children have with Heidi and her answers were fine; she explained the emergency button and everything.

We were warmly welcomed when we toured Independence Village in Naperville. There was a wonderful pianist playing and singing some classics. The residents and staff seemed to all be having a great time singing along. Everything is convenient and the building is a nice size, nothing is too far away. We also really liked that is so close to the Riverwalk, downtown and mom's doctors too.

My mother is in Independence Village. It is a very clean and well-run facility. Things are going very well with my mother there. They serve three meals a day and have many activities in an activity room where they can do painting and a number of other things. They have a number of other activities ranging from bingo to concerts and provide transportations to a number of activities outside of the center. They post what they are going to do a month at a time so that people can plan their activities. They will arrange to take people to and from their doctors' visits. Also, there are some doctors that come there. The staff is extremely helpful. I will certainly recommend the place to anybody.

We should have taken the time to write this review when Dad was still alive and enjoying a long and wonderful life at Independence Village, but our most recent experience demanded we take to the key board and let others know about this remarkable community. Every day Dad was treated like the most important person there - but I know every resident shared this same experience! Unlike any other place we visited before chosing this as home, this staff is kind, genuine, and respectful, treating the seniors like family. And Dad came to consider them like an extension of his own - a comfort we all enjoyed. When we stopped to visit, we were called by name. When we asked for help as Dad aged, they helped us find it. And when Dad was hospitalized, the staff called him and brought other residents over for visits. It never ended, even after Dad passed. They came to the service, wept like we did, and offered us the condolences only family does. This is not your ordinary "old folks home" - this is an extraordinary place filled with ordinary people who are treated like they are the most exceptional people who have ever lived. Thank you for the wonderful final chapters in Dad's story.
