My loved one was at Palm Terrace, but he has since passed away. They take aggressive Alzheimer's patients. They did an excellent job with him. They were very compassionate and very kind. I was very pleased with them. There were a couple of caretakers who took a liking to him; they really helped him out a lot. The place was very clean and comfortable, but it was a little expensive. It's an older place, but it was well taken care of. They were constantly cleaning and taking care of the place.

When I entered the front doors of Palm Terrace there were many people out in the main lobby and halls. However, there was hardly any activity. Residents in wheelchairs had been wheeled to one side or the other of the hall and left. There were a few residents calling out for assistance that were never responded to as long as I visited. The staff that I did converse with were bordering on rude. The staff seemed bothered by questions and irritated that I was disrupting what seemed to be a coffee break for the majority of the them. The nursing home seemed moderately sanitary. Just before leaving the facility a nurse aid beckoned a nurse to the room of a man who had apparently fallen and was bleeding from the head. The nurse responded to this emergency by casually taking a drink from her soda, stretching, and slowly walking towards the room. There seemed to be no sense of care or urgency. Overall, the visit to Palm Terrace made me feel unwelcome and a little bit sad.
