I went to The Lodge at Manito. It's a friendly, clean, small community. We loved everyone we talked to. And upon the tour, they do activities. It was a very impressionable place. If I have to put my mom in a community, then that is one at the top of my list because I do want a small community area for her, and I think she would do better with a smaller amount of people. I liked that. I love the floorplans. It's very quaint. My mom wouldn't get lost in the place. My aunt went with me, and we both just loved their setup. The living room, the dining area, and the bathroom were all well-equipped, perfect for someone like my mom if she were to have to go into a facility. We did not try their food, but they had a tasting day and they were having a function and they offered us to taste, but it all looked phenomenal. The nurse that gave us the tour said that everything is cooked there. We got to meet the head kitchen person. Manitoba is a very small community and the couple of places to eat in Manitoba are fantastic, so I'm sure the food is phenomenal, but we did not taste anything.
