This is a hidden gem! I had my husband in respit here for 2 weeks. He was extremely well cared for. They were quick to respond to the help button, kind and caring in everything the staff did. The other residents were accepting of a 2 week resident and included him in activities. They do not have a paid activities director, however, they have frequent movies, exercise via TV, puzzles, games, an exercise room with an Xbox and other activities planned by the staff. The rural setting is quiet and peaceful. Residents enjoyed watching the farmers work their fields. The entire facility was clean with no foul odors. To top it off, it was much more reasonable than other nearby facilities! I highly recommend this place!

Our community features 44 apartments, including efficiencies, 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bedroom-deluxe. Each apartment features a kitchenette, living room, bathroom with a walk-in shower, a spacious walk-in closet, and private patio; apartment square footage ranges from 500-860 square feet. Amenities: With you or your loved one in mind, The Glenwood's amenities are designed to provide each resident with retirement living at its best! We toured The Glenwood Assisted Living of Mahome. Amanda is the new executive director, she is very open, and friendly. My husband did not walk well, he looked at the sample room, and he was very pleased that it was very spacious. It has a huge closet and a little kitchenette, a TV, and a shower with a seat, and it's very clean. It was inviting. It did not feel institutionalized. There are several residents who come and talk with him, as well as another couple of employees. He was a stranger there, and they opened up and they were friendly, and engaged him in conversation. The place is kind of a country setting. It had a separate bedroom and it wasn't a studio. It had a bedroom, and a living area, and the kitchenette was kind of a combination of the two, but they also had two-bedroom apartments available. I have met the nurse and given exactly what my husband's needs are going to be. They will take him and will go to physical therapy once or twice a week while I'm gone, and they made sure to get him there.

We toured The Glenwood Assisted Living of Mahomet, and I liked the way they showed us the rooms and the grounds. They showed us all the activities and stuff they had. I liked the appearance of it. It was in good condition and it's a fairly new building. The rooms were nice and spacious. The people who assisted us during the tour did a good job. They provided all the utilities. They also had a 24-hour emergency response system. They have an exercise room, a barbershop, a coffee bar, a theater room, and a snack bar.

The Glenwood Assisted Living of Mahomet was amazing and I felt like I was in someone's very nice house. I did not feel like I was in a facility. The rooms were large, spacious, and able to accommodate residents. The staff during the tour was very transparent, caring, friendly, and willing to assist. I did not check the food, but I did see a lot of people in the dining area and they seemed happy. I think I saw a woman out there knitting and they also had clubs going on.

I love to visit this facility! It always smells warm and inviting. You should meet their staff! What sweet people live there and and work there!! It’s always alive with energy and fun activities. If ever you are looking for mom or dad or grandparents look no further than the Glenwood. It’s home.

The Glenwood Assisted Living of Mahomet was very good. The community was very well set up. The staff was tremendous when giving us the tour. They're very friendly and very helpful. We did see the residents doing an activity. There was a gentleman doing music and there was some kind of a sing-a-long. There were six to eight residents participating that day in that one activity.
