BRIA of Geneva (Geneva Nursing and Rehab Center) is a small nursing home. The staff is all very good and providing the nursing care that my husband requires. My husband is doing physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. They have activities, like movies, in the activity center. My husband is eating the food there and seems to be very happy with it.

If I could give this place a ZERO over and over again I absolutely would. I found my Dad Feb 8, 2022 basically unconscious in his bed. I demanded answers and eventually called 911, as I knew something was wrong. You would think HEALTH CARE professionals would know when something is wrong. My Dad was sepsis in his entire body, gangrene foot (the smell was awful coming from him) again, I don't know how they do NOT know. his Hygiene was appalling. They should be ASHAMED of themselves!! Please if your loved one is in here PLEASE PLEASE move them, or go check on them every single day. My Dad's room was absolutely disgusting, nurses never ever answer the phone. People make promises they never fulfil. My dad's nails were 12 inches long and BLACK, we were promised they would be cut NEVER WERE. Needless to say I called 911 Feb 8 from Bria as I knew something was wrong. He was admitted into Delnor with a horrible infection (Sepsis and Gangrene) ALL from a pressure sore they did NOT EVER CLEAN, as a diabetic we should have been told, and NEVER were. My Dad passed away on MARCH 1, 2022 after they had to amputate his leg due to gangrene and sepsis. Please check on your loved one here OFTEN!

I'm a relative of a patient there and after being there after a total of two days her watch was stolen . She is elderly but has all of her wits and knows someone has stolen it . The fact that her watch has been stolen is probably speeding up her rehab because she has gotten up and looked all over her room.

This facility is well run and is staffed with caring employees who work hard to meet the many needs of their residents!

Bria has skilled nursing, and they were really wonderful to deal with; the admission staff in particular was great. It was very well-maintained. They have physical therapy, which for me is a requirement for my husband since he is disabled and he has Parkinson’s disease; he needs physical therapy.

The staff is good - however CNAs don't always respond to patient lights quickly. That is a problem when patient is bedridden and needs assistance to get on the toilet. Food is not very good - the menu doesn't always match what is given to patient, and when they "special order" that appears to be ignored I(my mom eats in her room only - not mobile). So far that has been our main complaint - not much variety in the menu, only 1 choice unless you special order, and the food doesn't match menu some days.

It's location is good for our family to visit. It's near us, just in the general area. They were easy to work with and the Marketing Director/Social Service person was very genuine and was very attentive when we had questions and didn't feel rushed. They're very open and willing to give tours to the facility and they took their time when they did one with us. That was a nice treatment we got! The size of my mother's room there is decent compared to where she used to be at, so it's adequate. I have not sampled the food there but mom says it's good though. My mom has been happy with it. The facility is actually under renovation. I think there are new owners of it so they're starting to make changes to the building which was encouraging. It's an older building but they're updating it. New windows, roofing, they're kind of modernizing it. So, that's a great outlook for us.
