Oakley Courts is a good place. My dad really likes it, and he's happy there. The food is great, the people are nice, and the care is good. They also have activities and trips for the residents. The staff is friendly and helpful, and he loves his room. It's very nice and spacious, and he is lucky to get a room that opens up at the central area with a gazebo and things like that. They had a Father's/Mother's Day party there and the buffet was really good. They also had a snack bar, haircuts, tours, and games and cards that the residents can play.

Oakley Courts Assisted Living was very sterile, and the rooms weren't as large, but they also didn't cost as much as the other place I went to. The residents that were out enjoying the different activities were all friendly. She pointed out that the meals are restaurant-style. You order from what the specials are, or if you don't like those they have other regular things you can get instead. They did not allow pets and I do have a cat. It was built in a square, and depending upon where your apartment was you'd have quite a walk to get to the food area. They do have parking, but it is outdoors. As far as assisted living, it was pretty good.

Oakley Courts Assisted Living was very clean, and very nice. The facility was wonderful. The people were very friendly. It was a much bigger facility than what would work for my mom. You had your refrigerator, microwave, and a little kitchenette, but only big enough for if somebody wanted to heat something in between meals, or just have some snacks. But they offer three meals a day, and they also have an ice cream parlor and a little coffee area, too. I liked the staff, she was super nice and informative. It was very reasonable. The bang for the buck is really good there. They had a front area that patients sat out in, like a little porch area, and they also had some gardening there. The view out the windows was nice.

My mother moved into Oakley Courts. We're happy with it and pleased with what they have for her, and it's a pleasant place. They do outings, have guest singers, crafts, and exercises. The food is great.

My father moved into Oakley after touring the rest of assisted living options in Freeport. We liked that it was a small community on one floor. The staff and residents are very welcoming and friendly. And his laundry really is done separately and put away nicely! So far not one piece is missing which was one of our peeves at the last assisted living facilities he has resided in. Good food and a very pleasant environment. Very conscientious about cleanliness. Staff seem really happy with their jobs. The administrator is very approachable and available.

The lady who assisted me with the tour at Oakley Courts Assisted Living Community knew her stuff and had worked there a long time, but there were questions that she could not answer. The facility was very nice and I think it was better suited for my mother because it was easy to get around in. The one thing I did not quite like about it was they were not affiliated with a skilled care facility, like a nursing home situation. They had an enclosed outdoor courtyard that you can access from inside the facility, but you cannot get out of the courtyard without coming back into the facility. Mom could go outside and help with the gardening and tinker around.

I found Oakley Courts for my aunt. The ratio of staff to people is 3:1. It fits our needs better than other places we looked at. The staff is very friendly and respectful of the residents. My aunt has a one-bedroom. It has a large bathroom and a walk-in closet. The kitchen has no stove. It just has refrigerator, a microwave, and a counter sink. The food is really good. Also, they have something going on for my aunt always. She is seldom in her room because she is always with people. They have things like bingo, sing-a-longs, and different game shows. There are a lot of things going for them.
