Poor communication Giving false hope Poor oral hygiene Broken lift chair resulting in severally swollen legs Had to ask a nurse to take our loved one to the hospital when clearly they were had a fever and chills, ended up in really poor condition due to negligence, COVID, dehydration that turned to renal failure Unable to provide proper care for those with advanced dementia Rude director of nursing barging in rooms without knocking, not empathic during my family members last days, no apology given. Do not take your loved ones here , please look at other facilities.

This facility is always understaffed. The food tastes horrible, is cold, and is dried out. There are many high school students that work there and are always on their phones, horsing around and using foul language. I am glad that they are being watched by the state . They should be.

When I went to visit my relative at the Franklin Grove Nursing Center I got the impression that they cared for the residents, but that they were understaffed. I think that in order to respond quicker to resident needs and in order to provide a better and more comprehensive quality of care, they need to hire more staff members in order to become more resident oriented. The amenities, including television and a computer with internet access for the residents was a good idea and overall I would rate the amenities as better than most facilities. I think that the rooms in this facility were both welcoming and inviting. The dining areas were also very clean and well kept and provided a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The meals provided at this facility were both healthy and nutritional. The various activities planned throughout the month, the attractive landscaping, and decorations inside of the facility also added to its appeal. All of the staff who worked in this facility were very friendly and willing to help the residents, but I do think that they should hire more staff and a better team of physical and occupational therapists. The physical and occupational therapists do not provide details on their educational background, certifications, or work related experience. I think that they should be more open to sharing the details of their education and experience with the residents and concerned members of the family. I also think that a medical doctor could check on the residents more often. Overall, I would recommend this facility, but I do think that if a family member or friend is staying here, they may need someone to advocate for them in the respect of receiving the best quality of care possible. I also think that someone who needs 24 hour care and cannot advocate for themselves should stay in a different facility.
