After reading online reviews of Hope Creek I was reluctant to have my wife go there for her hospice treatment. I was wrong. Hope Creek is a wonderful facility. It is very clean and the staff is professional, caring and compassionate. My wife received excellent treatment and I am very satisfied. Watching the residents of the memory care unit I could see the challenges faced by the staff on a daily basis. All issues were handled with grace and dignity. You can see that the staff cares for their residents and treat them as such. I highly recomment Hope Creek as a long term care facility.

Hope Creek Care Center seemed nice. It's relatively new. The rooms were OK. They were your typical nursing home. There's nothing fancy about them. The staff were helpful. They have stuff for the residents to do, such as games or meetings and social activities. The dining area looked nice, too.

I cannot express how impressed I was with Hope Creek in East Moline. The staff was compassionate and caring beyond my expectations. My mom went in on hospice with a leg break and dementia. Staff treated her with dignity and respect. The hospice nurses were beyond amazing. I would recommend Hope Creek to anyone with a loved one in need of care. I am truly thankful for the staff and everything they give to their residents.

Hope Creek is not a place of "hope". Although we paid over $7,000 a month, our mom's care was terrible. Phone calls were not returned by the social worker or the administrators. Nurses were not familiar with our mom's care. Once we placed our mom on hospice, Hope Creek did not honor our wishes. Thank God we were able to transfer our mom to a hospices facility. Do NOT send your loved one to Hope Creek, as they are uncaring and do not treat your family member like it is their own.

My mother was at Hope Creek for about 5 weeks after she broke her hip. At age 89 with advancing dementia and other health issues, it was a long shot to attempt rehab, but as long as Mom was in the rehab wing Hope Creek did a decent job of caring for her. Then they moved her to the Memory Care floor. My sister was never allowed to go on the floor (even after Covid rules were relaxed). She had to make an appointment, then staff brought Mom down and the visits were brief. Mom deteriorated rapidly and significantly. She lost an alarming amount of weight, they didn't make sure she had her dentures in, they put other people's glasses on her, she smelled of dirty Depends. Finally we engaged hospice, and her previous placement agreed to take her back. She died less than 24 hours later, with her family in the room with her. We are absolutely sure that my sister would have received a call from Hope Creek telling her that her mother had passed away. They are either terribly understaffed, overworked and underpaid (probably all three) and/or poorly trained. They certainly neglected my mother and during a phone conference didn't even know how much sedation they were giving her! She was essentially comatose, so they didn't have to deal with her. Shame on them all.

My mother was there for 18 days after a hip replacement surgery, this was an awful experience her. The food was not fit for human. Therapy was horrible they only came around once or twice a day for only 10 to 15 min. Until she finally asked if she was to be receiving therapy, because she couldn’t walk, then they came around a little more offend. Never received a shower the entire time she was there. When she called for help to use the restroom she was told to go ahead an soil herself and they would clean her up after. Really !! To lazy to take time to help this lady to the rest room. Never in 18 days did anyone change the sheets on her bed. She was never moved after her quarantine period . So this meant she could not go into the dining room to eat with other residents. I could go on. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They need to be turned in an held accountable for their lack of professionalism, job performance, an mostly no compassion for the best care of paying residents. Please Don’t put your loved one in this place. I’m so happy my mom is finally home and safe .

My grandmother was a resident of this place. Unfortunately they dropped her while in the bathroom and she never regained consciousness! She died a couple weeks later.

I had to take my wife to a nursing home, and she was at Hope Creek Care Center for six months. They had one of the better facilities in the area. However, they only had one restroom for the visitors, which was at the entrance of the building. Most of their staff were African-American and some of them were really good. We had one lady that mainly took care of my wife. She was not on Medicare, so she couldn't have therapy there. The only therapy she received was restorative care, and with the problems she had with the dementia, she had her hands curled up and couldn't open them because it hurt her to open her fingers. They worked with that, and they worked her arms a little bit. The rooms were adequate. She had a bed that went up and down. They had all the facilities that you need there. My wife was incontinent, so she wore Depends, and they changed her Depends all day.
