My dad moved to Sunrise of Buffalo Grove, and there's a strong feeling of community. Everyone seemed to care about the residents so much, and I was surprised to find out how well my dad was doing. He's put on some weight during those days. He's eating much better than he used to. He's more active, sleeping less, and doing very well there. The staff is excellent. They're communicative. My dad loves the food, and he's doing very well in this beautiful facility.

I went to Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. It was nice. It feels like a big house mansion. The lights were good there. So it was good. It was just way too over our budget and my price. A microwave and a refrigerator are included in the apartment. The person who took me around was fine, professional, and nice. They have a little courtyard.

Sunrise of Buffalo Grove was a very nice community. It seemed clean. However, I would describe it as darker. There were a lot of darker wood tones, those types of things. They would have been an option, too, but they're about 30 minutes from my house. I wasn't thrilled but for no specific reason. The atmosphere was subdued. When I was there, which was the middle of the afternoon, there didn't seem to be a lot going on. I didn't see the menu, but their dining room was nice. The staff who assisted...

Sunrise of Buffalo Grove was very clean and everyone was friendly. They showed us around and spent a lot of time with us. The grounds were very clean. We saw a sample room and so it was very clean, too. We saw a lady in the memory care on a screen and it seemed like everybody was interested in what she was saying. The staff was very friendly, very informative, and helpful. The dining area was pretty good. The food looked really good as well. They have a library and lots of places to sit for visi...

We are going to choose Sunrise of Buffalo Grove for my mother-in-law because of the cost. We found the cost to be very cost-effective, and we found the people there to be very friendly and accommodating. Britney was the one who gave us the tour, she was outstanding, caring, she was informative and sensitive to our needs. She responded honestly, and it was really a pleasure working with her. I saw a studio room with a very small bedroom, but she'll have her own bath and shower, and a little area ...

I toured Sunrise of Buffalo Grove for my father, but it was too expensive. It was a great place. It was very clean. We liked the management and the dining room service. They had transportation for the residents. The building had a very nice layout. The rooms were beautiful. The dining room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, professional, and willing to help you out as much as they can. They tried to make the place affordable for us, but we just couldn't meet their price.

My mom has been a resident at Sunrise for 15 months and there are constantly problems. I'm her healthcare POA and she was being administered a increased dosage of medications without my approval or authorization. She has dementia and can't agree to any changes. Her monthly fee is increased due to the need of more care but nothing has been revised since her original agreement of 8/2021 and there should be no fee increases. She eats breakfast and dinner in her room and now they want to charge h...

I visited Sunrise of Buffalo Grove for my dad. It's located next to a fire station. I like that it's a new community and it's very well kept up, so it's got a good atmosphere about it. The layout is very nice and very easy for the clients to get around. Their dining area was well kept and laid out for the clients to have a social atmosphere.

We went to see the assisted living of Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. We went on a Sunday and the gal I talked to on the phone wasn't working that day, so we had someone else show us around. He answered all of our questions very nicely. I thought it was very clean and looked very nice when we first walked in. Probably because they were assisted living, the rooms were really small and you didn't have a special place for your couch or anything. The kitchen was very small with only one cabinet in each o...

We toured Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. Jojo was so friendly. He came and greeted us right away, and that was facility's dog. They're pet friendly. Everything was fresh and nice. It was just a little bit out of our price range, and then we would have to switch doctors. The staff who toured us was great. He answered all our questions, and he was friendly. He went through the day with us and how the community goes. They have popcorn every day at 2:00. We tried a cookie, and it was good. It was fresh...

I toured Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. It was excellent, but also much shorter in one room. There was one room that had furniture in it. I saw the model of what they said would fit for my mom right now. That's all I looked at. I didn't get their layout, and I didn't get a calendar of their activities. They told me about what they do; that there's doctors and staff. They have much more things available too. They have immediate care and staff, 24 hours. They have more nurses on staff, doctors come in...

I liked Sunrise of Buffalo Grove more than its sister community because it didn't smell like old people. The building architecture was the same as well, so I got the impression that all of their buildings are identical. Inside the apartments were small but neat, well-furnished, and well-maintained. It has a family atmosphere sort of environment since there's only about 40 people rather than hundreds. The staff member who gave me the tour was very nice and capable, but she didn't give quite as la...

I was impressed with Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. The director spent an hour and a half with us answering every little detail. You could really feel that she would be sincere. The only reason why we didn't pick it is that we thought it was too far for us to drive from Woodstock all the way to Buffalo Grove. I love the way they had it laid out where everyone was there watching TV with popcorn. Everybody was together. It was open. The other wing was for dementia but it didn't look like it. They had o...

We went to Sunrise of Buffalo Grove, and it was an overall excellent experience. I would've really liked to have gone to that facility. It's excellent and beautiful. I was there for a buffet and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was just so extremely friendly, attentive and answered all of my questions. They went out of their way.

my father in law is a resident. The staff is very nice and caring. However, we agree with the gentleman below about the upkeep of the property. Even from when that was stated last August there are still 10-15 and even more dead trees and plant material. The building is not maintained in the way it should be. The building is about 30-35 years old and needs a new roof, painting and wood replacement on the exterior. The interior is in poor shape. The chairs in the dining room have arm rests that ar...

We were very warmly welcomed at Sunrise; the woman there was unbelievably kind, gentle, and generous with her time. It was warm and inviting. It's a much smaller facility, and it's not new. It was not a good match for us, and my parents are still very active. They have a lot of in-house events, and there's a library.

My wife is in Sunrise. The care managers are, for the most part, very kind, very capable, and very good. However, there were some who are just doing their jobs, and the management is unresponsive. The maintenance of the building is not great nor hygienic. Outside, they have 10 to 15 dead trees that they haven’t addressed. I think they need to update the interior and the furniture in the dining room. Their activities program is very weak, so they need to replace the activities person.

Everything at Sunrise of Buffalo Grove was very nice. The people were very accommodating and they took time to take me around and show me what they have. It was a very nice visit overall. The rooms were fine. They have a salon and a lot of areas for activities. The dining area was small but it was nice, clean, and uninstitutional. I would recommend this facility.

Sunrise of Buffalo Grove is nice, but they're highly priced. I loved their dining area. It's all assisted living, and I think it's the thing that kind of shocked my mother to make the change right now. She's still in independent living, and everyone there was assisted or memory care. The staff was great. The calendar of activities is limited because it's a smaller facility, and also no doctor visits there. There's a grocery store nearby, so there are things nearby.

Sunrise of Buffalo Grove was very nice and very clean, the people were very friendly, and the staff was very professional. The rooms were really pretty. The people seemed to be doing the normal things, like crafts, watching television, and singing. The dining area was very clean and very well laid-out.

I moved mom to Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. It's just been three weeks since she was there and they made it sure she is comfortable and try to help her adjust. I chose it because it was small and it seemed like there the ratio of the caregivers to the residents were better. It's a great place. The staff was fabulous. They are very nice and caring. They call me when they have concerns. Every one of my friends that have gone with me to visit my mother has said, "I want to live here". I want to live t...

We recently found ourselves in need of care for our Mother. I had no idea where to start. Caring.Inc provided several locations to look at. We were so pleased by this facility. The most important thing was Mom's safety. The care givers were everywhere with the residents. I loved the amount of activities offered to the residents. We had lunch there several times and found the food of an excellent quality. We moved Mom in a week ago and no longer fear for her safety. If there is anything I could ...

The entrance is very large and there is a staircase that goes up to the second floor. The room right next to the entrance is spacious and has a old fashioned popcorn machine that is very cool. The rooms are extremely large, but the downside is there is no living area in some of the room. The bathroom is big and easy to use. The color scheme is a little depression because it seems like it is too old-fashioned and not modern enough but other than that it seems like it would be a nice place to live...

This is an awesome facility! The entire staff is so nice, and it just feels homey. They have a large dining room with delicious - sounding meals, and a parlor room with TV and a fireplace to stay cozy during the winter months. The rooms are spacious and clean, and there are various activities for the residents. There is bingo, concerts, trips, movies, exercise and so much more. The caretakers are nice and warm to all the residents, and there are even volunteers that come to help out. During my v...
