My mother was in Clare Oaks for rehab. It's a beautiful facility, it had great therapy people, and excellent menu and diet options. It was very compartmentalized for communications, so you don't know who to talk to for what. They're pretty focused on getting you in, then you find out more information that you really wish you would have known before getting in. She received PT, OT, and speech therapy. The daytime staff was outstanding, but the night staff not so much. She had a private room. They had a beauty shop and they had activities. Most were geared toward the assisted living people and not the rehab people. They're outrageously priced.

Beware! My father was at The Oaks at Bartlett for 3 weeks or so after having surgery to fix a broken tibia. The doctor's orders were to have the dressings changed daily, but they were not. As a result, my father developed a serious staph infection that turned into MRSA , and required more surgery. Our experience here was not warm and fuzzy and would not recommend it

I will be moving into the Oaks at Bartlett. We chose it because of the people there and the atmosphere of the place. I just liked the way it was, and it's not too far from where I'm living now, and I wanted to stay in the same area. It's very comfortable looking, and it isn't too big. I visited a couple places that were very big, and I just felt lost in them. I didn't feel lost in this place. They have a nice seating area with a great fireplace and beautiful sofas, and they've got game rooms, a library, a pool, and a workout room. It seemed like they got a lot of stuff there. I have high hopes that it will be everything I think it is. Everybody was very nice. Not only was the staff real nice, but the residents all seemed very happy to be there. Everything that I saw was super. It's a nice looking place.

I liked The Oaks at Bartlett. It was very nice, but it was a bit too expensive. They have independent living, assisted iving, and memory care. I visited twice there and I liked it because it was a Catholic facility before (it's not anymore), but they still have a church they visit and I was interested in that. The dining area was pretty nice. They had a pool and a balcony and they had a garage under the building, which is important because we have a lot of snow. The people I talked to were very nice. Some of the people who live there came up, too, and according to them, everybody liked it there. I would've liked it more upscale or more modern, but I believe that they remodeled a lot. I didn't go back to see it anymore, but they said they will remodel it downstairs. The exercise facility was not up-to-date.

I went to The Oaks at Bartlett. I was given several pages of things to look for, and it checked all the boxes. I was told about the activities. I didn't see any because it's a brand new unit. They had a library, exercise room, chapel, gardens, courtyard, and extensive wooded grounds. They showed a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom. They were spotless, brand new, and brightly lit. The staff was friendly, interactive, knowledgeable, and interested in the individual residents. They seemed to be doing everything right.

Everything was good at Clare Oaks. It had everything that someone would look for. The staff was excellent, very bright, and personable. The food was very good, and you get 30 meals a month. It was Catholic.

Clare Oaks is a very nice place, but it is a buy-in. I'm not interested in that. I am very impressed with it though. The rooms are adequate. They have activities, but they are not anywhere near what I have outside the community. They have a very small library and a craft room. The food is excellent.

Clare Oaks is beautiful, but it’s very expensive. You have to buy in, and once you buy in, they have all levels of care. The person who assisted me was very helpful. I did see some of the activities, and they had Bingo and exercise activities. I ate in the Bistro, and it was very good.

Clare Oaks was good, but I didn't like the high entrance fees. It's a Roman Catholic facility. The staff seemed to be qualified, competent, and energetic. They had a swimming pool, chapel, restaurant, and apartments as well as separate houses.

My mom was in rehab at Clare Oaks. While I thought it was very nice and the people were very caring and attentive, they kept her in a wheelchair and would take her to rehab where she would do her walking or whatever, and then put her back in her chair and park her. They had some activities but not nearly as many as other places. At the place she is now, they have her walking everywhere with a walker, which is healthier for her compared to what she did at Clare Oaks. The rooms were nice and had a chair and a bed, and a private bath. The disappointment I had was they released her because they said she wasn’t improving, but since she’s been in this other place now, she’s walking everywhere because they don’t leave her parked in a wheelchair. I was disappointed in Clare Oaks.

My grandmother has been staying at this facility for a little over a month now for rehabilitation. My family and I visit her often and whenever I personally go to visit it is always a waiting game for my grandmother receive the care she needs. My grandmother is there for rehabilitation, which is the only part that has seemed helpful this far. This facility is understaffed and lacks compassion for their patients. My grandmother had undergone surgery and has needed assistance because she cannot use the bathroom to pass bowel movements. My grandmother has had to wait countless times for over half at hour, at least, to be changed and cleaned. The staff of CNAs do not take their responsibility seriously. I have been told that only nurses can change certain medical assistive equipment, but the CNAs will not even try to clean my grandmother, they leave her to lay in her own filth. When I have asked for clean linens for my grandmother to change myself the CNAs argue about who will actually get the linen. I have worked as a CNA myself and I have never seen such a lazy staff. The nurses have even said that my grandmother needs to be more patient because each nurse has 24 patients to overlook. Again, this facility is poorly understaffed. My grandmother has even told me she has waited for a nurse, only to find out that there had been a shift change so no one else was aware she needed assistance. Since each nurse has 24 patients my grandmother has to wait over half an hour to be cleaned? My grandmother needs to lay in soiled linen? Where is the compassion? The nurses and CNAs are there only to make money, not to provide appropriate care for the patients.

The people at Clare Oaks were wonderful. Julie, the one who gave me the tour, was phenomenal, and their follow-up was very good too. They would call me just to let me know how my mom was doing. The rooms were beautiful, and I would move there if I were old enough. To me, it was like a cruise ship without a casino. I was really impressed with it. My mom's doing great now, but if there's a change in anything, I would definitely move her there.

We went to Clare Oaks and we really like the facility. It was my first choice. The place was very nice and very clean. They have enough staff which were wonderful and very knowledgeable. Everybody was very nice. They showed us around and I was very impressed. They seemed to be a very caring facility. Their shared rooms have a dividing wall. They did have different activities happening every day whether it was going somewhere or doing something within the place. They also have movies, library time, parties, and get togethers.

My folks looked at many places around the area before deciding on Claire Oaks. They will be moving in next week and so far, although the move has been stressful for them, the staff has been wonderful. The staff has always made the time to meet with them and spend time going over all the paperwork. When we visit, not only do the people in management welcome them but anyone we see from custodians to food service personnel greet them with a smile and kind word. Phone calls have been returned the same day, even when no one knows the answer, they return the call to assure my parents they are wokring on it.The buidling itself is immaculate, the grounds well kept, and the aparments and corridors bright and cheerful.
