Brookstone of Aledo was really close to New Windsor, and mom knows people there. It's also a much smaller town and facility, so she liked that one better. I'm very familiar with Brookstone of Aledo because I've been there before to visit people I know who are there, and they were great. They have a hairdresser and activities, and they're very helpful and very pleasant people. They walked me through everything, and then they called me afterwards to ask if I had any more questions. They had very nice one-bedroom apartments and price-wise, it was the same as the other one we visited. They all had basically the same thing; it's just a question of where mom would be happy.

Brookstone of Aledo is very nice, and it's a little on the expensive side. They have very nice people from what we've gathered so far. They've got shuttles, and my mother-in-law does water aerobics and Wii bowling in the community center. They eat at a couple different shifts so everybody's not there at the same time. It was spotless, very clean, and organized. The activities and the dining schedule for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all published. My mother-in-law has some dietary restrictions, so they make some special stuff for her per request, so they've been very good to her.

We have been at Brookstone of Aledo for almost four years. They have CNAs and nurses training, and they take care of us. The place is fine and quiet. They have all activities you want.
