My grandfather stayed here for a short time after a hip replacement. Cannot say enough poor things about this place. Terrible customer service, minimal cleanliness, poor attention to detail. He did not receive therapy in a way that was promised. He was given medication incorrectly time and time again, even after the staff was corrected by the patient and family members. When asked where I could find sanitation wipes to clean his room, non could be located. While my grandpa was not 100% safe to discharge home, we left this place prior to recommended because of the poor treatment and concern for his safety and well being. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I visited a family member four months ago who was staying in Royal Plaza. My mom had also been to Royal Plaza for several years. It was wonderful and everything was nice. It was in a good location. It was a good place for mom to be in. The care was excellent. They were friendly and really considerate of the people who were living there. The food was good. The rooms were nice, well set-up and quiet. They also had a care facility in the same building. So, when she needed a little extra, she was just moved down the hall and it wasn't like she was moved to a nursing home. I couldn't say anything bad about it.

Royal Plaza is clean, well-staffed and responds to the needs of families. The food is institutional, but nutritional nonetheless. I think that the environment is suitable for elderly people who are independent. The transitional care side can assist individuals if a downturn has landed a person in the hospital and needs help recovering before returning to their apartment.
