The staff took very good care of my grandfather. They treated him like family. He liked the food and loved the staff. Therapy worked him well enough to be able to come home. There was always something going on, even though he didn't always participate.

My husband moved into Canyon West of Cascadia. They've lost a lot of help since we put him in there. I don't know what happened there. He hasn't been getting the kind of care he was before the New Year, and most of his clothes have disappeared, and I had his name on one of them. Nobody seems to know where they're at, so I'm not happy about that. And like I said, I only did that because I was at my breaking point. I wasn't able to take care of him anymore. It was just too hard on me. That was the only option I found available since he was on Medicaid. He shared a room with another patient. They are doing therapy now. I went to get some therapy for him when I took him in and they said they would, but they didn't until just a few months ago. They finally put him on therapy for his legs to strengthen his legs. I think the staff need more training. I've watched how they bring a man, and it's just like one day they're not there, and the next day they're there and they're on the floor and they're questioning. You ask them for something, they have to go ask a supervisor. They're not training them and you can't expect them to. They have Bible study and all of that, and they have a therapy room.

The rooms in this facility are very nice. They have multiple room sizes in order to accommodate for those that need to use medical devices such as wheelchairs and walkers, there is plenty of room to move around. The building is very clean through the halls in the rooms and common areas. they have beautiful plants in the front room that the residents are able to see and some they can take care of as well. the activities department always has new and innovative activities that anyone can participate in and have lots of fun. Staff is kind and friendly and fun to interact with they will learn who you are and get to know you as well. Overall, it is a nice facility and one in which I would recommend.
