My friend was at Arcadia Retirement Residence. He was very happy living in his apartment. The grounds and the facilities were excellent. They had musicians that played. They had entertainment activities. When the residents go to the retirement program, they have all kinds of opportunities like classes, computers, and yoga. Since COVID, the food kind of changed. It used to be like a buffet kind of thing that they could pick, but since COVID they basically get a menu and they can make a choice of what they want for their meals. They can either eat in their room or bring it downstairs and eat with others. The staff members were of a very high-quality. There were multiple activities.

I toured Arcadia Retirement Residence. It was a beautiful place, however, it wasn't necessarily a good fit for my grandmother. The staff treated me perfectly fine. They gave me enough freedom to move around in the general areas. They gave me some space. They have a really good focus. Sometimes they do lose their focus about anyone else around them, but I understand they need to go ahead and focus on their patients. The facility is sterile. It's clean. I did not see any safety issues.

My friend is staying at the Arcadia Retirement Residence. It is quite expensive. It's more like an apartment building in downtown Honolulu. They have a parking lot and allow cars. Most of the people who are there seem happy to be there. They have an unfurnished apartment, and then people bring their own furniture and decorate it. It's a nice thing to have it look like home. On each floor they have a gathering area where guests could maybe have a glass of wine before dinner or meet there as a group. The people say the food is really good. The doormen are very nice, attentive, and help our friend. It's really a very nice place to be. The room that we saw was like a regular apartment, except it didn't have a full kitchen. It's a really nice building and well-maintained. They have a group coming to play music for them. They have something going on most of the time.

Arcadia Retirement Residence was a wonderful facility. My father lived there for five years until a year ago and he was extremely happy there. They're very caring and attentive to the residents. The food was very good. The residents sometimes asked for more variety, but generally, I think it's the best that I've seen. The facility itself was excellent. They had a swimming pool, activities, card games, and little living rooms on each floor. They also had a bus that would take residents to hospitals or shopping.

We've been living in Arcadia Retirement Residence for two weeks now. We really enjoy it and we like it very much. They have a gym, swimming pool, exercise classes all day long, and buffet dining. We have a large 1-bedroom apartment with 1.5 baths. The staff is perfect and very helpful.

Arcadia was very nice. I liked the way they set up the financing and that everything was in one place. The staff was very nice, efficient, and professional.

The concept of Arcadia really appealed to us. It's one where you age in place, and we really like that concept. One of the big issues for most people is whether they can afford it for the remainder of their life, and they facilitate that. Even though the buy-in price is rather high, when you compare it against a nursing home and the annual cost, it's very comparable. The facility was older though, and it didn't have the same ambience as the other place we visited. Also, there were certain policies that went against my principles, and they were a little too rigid. For me, I wouldn't want to be in that particular facility, but somebody else would be happy with abiding by those kinds of policies. Their clientele was more academic, i.e., the CEOs.
