I would recommend Legacy Village of Tifton. I was very impressed with it. The memory care was very nice; in fact, they've built in there a fireplace for them and made them a new screened-in porch. A lot of people like to go out and sit on that and the fireplace especially for colder weather. I know they're loving that. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. If there was somewhere to place my brother in Georgia, I would consider them. They're high up on my list of care homes. It was a very nice clean place. It was very clean inside the building and the rooms I saw. COVID kinda got everything shut down, but they let me suit up and got over to the memory care and looked at it. I didn't get to visit much of it because the executive director was out that day.

My mother is in Southern Care Retirement Home. So far, it's been great. The amenities are wonderful, and the staff has been good. The food, and the living quarters are really good. The rooms are quite large, and they have a beautiful dining room with a fireplace. They got a lot of pretty roses all around them. They got a courtyard that's got flowers in it. It's a really nice place. They got two dining rooms; one for the memory care people, which my mother uses. I call it the main dining room. They have a private dining room which you can reserve. The activities director is great. She takes them shopping. They went to Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, to church, to lunch, and to the park. They play bingo, she has devotion two to three times a week, and she had her nails done. They have a beauty shop, and a little exercise room there.

The staff at Southern Care Assisted Living are very good. My father lives in his own private room, which is very spacious and very clean. They have activities like bingo. They have musical groups that come in and sing for them. They take them on trips in their little bus. They serve good food too.

My dad moved into Southern Care after my mom passed away 3 years ago. At first he really wasn't sure how he would like it and wanted to stay at home alone in Florida. We new that he would not be safe at home alone and would not eat right or take his medicine like he should so we found Southern Care. It has been a true blessing to all of us. The food is excellent. I eat there with him every chance I get and he gets his meds on time every day. We had visiting several assisted livings in the Tifton and Sylvester areas and found Southern Care to be the best!

I have seen wonderful care and services from the wonderful caregivers at Southern Care. As difficult as it was for us to take care of my mom at home, she has done very, very well there. I truly feel like we are blessed to have such a wonderful facility like this one in Tift County. I would not hesitate to recommend these very compassionate and loving facility to anyone.

We removed my father after only one month at Southern Care. They refused to follow a schedule and therefore administered his med's inappropriately. We thought he was having tia's while there, realized as we were moving him that he was passing out due to mal-administration of medicine. He came out with bruises all over his arms, which we were told were because he was "combative." He's never had these bruises before nor since--as a matter of fact he was extremely combatative as we detoxted him at home from the overmedication, but his bruises got better so quickly we almost didn't have time to photograph them. Another patient's family called us to tell us that they had heard the cna staff yelling at him. That family was also moving their father due to abuse and poor care. In addition, the mortality rate in this unit is much higher than it should be for the level of client which they serve.
