I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place is not fit to care for patients. My husband was here for 2years and it was a nightmare.I visit almost everyday and most of those days my husband was not wet but soaked, He had to be feed cause he couldnt see lost visison. most of his food on his gown. They dont get water unless your there to give it to them.Breakfast comes at 11 and lunch 2pm or later. n the weekend is worst>My husband pills had to be crushed n they forgot and I found the pills on his bed or floor ,yes he spit it out. I saw roaches lil n large roaming(horrible place) My husband gowns were stolen n im talking about 2dozen gowns, Dressers and closets are disgusting. they dont call you if ur love one has an accident.I had such bad exprience and hurt the so many patients are not being care for yet all the staff is suppose to care for them.I took pictures of a weekend i didnt visit and all his water cups were all on his dresser with dates. There is so much I can say and share pics of all the neglect my defenseless husband went through that I would be writing all day. Please reconsider and dont place your love one here, all nursing home have there problems but we must shout them out,so our love one can live there final years peacefully and with respect n dignity. PLEASE DONT My husband is resting with God and I was there caring for him . RECONSIDER dont leave your love one here its a real nighmare

This facility and their workers work very hard to find the formulas that work for each resident. Now it’s important to assist them with understanding your family members needs, but once you do help them find their normal baseline; they will go over and beyond to make sure they sustain and improve it. My mother has been a resident for 5 years and they have worked very hard to help her and, today she is in a better condition then she was prior to her admittance. When there is a problem, they will communicate and they care! Rosemont at Stone Mountain gets my vote!

My brother was temporarily in Rosemont at Stone Mountain. When they showed you around, it seemed like they had a lot of different places and a lot of different things for people to do. And if you're independently able to get around and get to those places, it would have been adequate. But if you need assistance, it's inadequate. The food was grim and the cleanliness was lacking, it was a very grim experience. The employees were disinterested. The woman greeting you at the door was very nice and helpful, but once you got out of the reception area, it was different. The food looked unappetizing, and the way it was served was not appealing. It's like plastic spoons stuck in a mound of mashed potatoes, they stick it straight up, like you were going to eat it like a popsicle. They had an outdoor area for smokers, and supposedly they had a gym, and they had an outdoor area for people who didn't smoke, where they could sit across the outdoor area and look at the smokers.

This Facility Has No Communication At All With The Families Of The Lives Ones In Their Care. You Can't Even Call And Talk To Any One Because They Rarely Answer The Phone, The Do Not Call The Family Members If Anything Happens. I Have Had Numerous Of Complaints About My Fathers Clothing. Money I Have Spent On His Clothes And They Somehow Have Misplaced His Clothing Or Have Given It To Other Residents. I Don't Understand How You Lose/Give A Residents Clothing To Other Residents When His Name Is Clearly Written Big Enough To Not See His Name. I Don't Know Who Is The Owner Of The Facility, But I Believe They Need To Get Their Staff Together And Communicate More Instead Of Acting Stuck Up. This Is Suppose To Be A Place Of Business But The Workers Don't Treat It As One. How Do You Allow Your Workers To Work Blasting Hip Hop Music With All The Cursing? I Don't Understand.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my most hated family member. Don’t do it. Employees out front cursing and loud talking. Truly unprofessional!!! They need to open for visitors ASAP so the family members can see the truth,

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am a resident. Everything is terrible, rooms, staff, food. There are roaches here. Staff turnover is ridiculously high. If they get anyone decent they treat them like crap and they leave. They recently changed the kitchen staff and within a day or two they left. So no one was here to cook. They actually sent what cnas were here to fix breakfast which ended up being a scrambled egg and oatmeal. When covid was at its highest here everything they did put us in more danger of catching the virus. Please, do not send your family here.

Impossible to get information about my Mother. Doctor does not give adequate information. Huge turnover. Only one family member is given patient information. Numerous deficiencies!!

There was absolutely no communication from the staff to family members. My mother was diagnosed with Covid and no one told us BUT someone from the activity department called to see if my mother could vote. Really??? We immediately transferred her to another facility and filed a complaint with the state. Do Not Send Your Loved One to this place. It needs to be shut down.

Please don't allow your family member or loved one to be sent here. My father was sent here from Grady hospital. Several times I would call up there to check on his condition, but was always told that the nurses were busy and to leave my name and number and they would call back, they never did. I called the administration and complained about this on more that one occasion, to no avail. The last time I called I was told that my father was not there, he had been sent to the emergency room the day before, when I ask why no one called to tell me this, I was told "oh we're sorry". I ask which hospital, they didn't know. It took me several hours and several phone calls to find out where he was. I ask to speak with the owner or top person, I was told that he was busy, but that he would call me back before he left that day. He did not or the next day, I called back the again and was told that he is a busy man and don't have time to talk to family members. At the emergency room my father was found to be so dangerously dehydrated that he was moved straight to the ICU, this is from being at Rosemont for only two weeks. This is not a place you want a loved one to be at.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Jan 2020 - My dad was admitted to the ER 3 times in 1 month due to neglect. Dad had an open wound on his back, the nurses left him laying in feces, had his bandages covered in feces and as a result he was diagnosed with E-COLI, and I have pictures that are too graphic to post. The other 2 trips to the ER were again due to neglect. Noone was available to put him back in the bed from his wheelchair in a timely fashion, therefore he dangerously put himself in and as a result pulled out his nephrostomy tube from his back - 2 times. Furthermore, when i took dad to the ER and they had to change his diaper, the diaper had feces streaks and when they wiped him they found feces still remaining after Rosemont supposedly cleaned him. Rosemont also had my dad in a room with a person who had aggressive, violent outbursts. My dad is paralyzed and was not able to fend for himself. I asked 3 times for them to move him and nothing was done. I had dad in this facility a couple times last year for rehab and never had a problem. I dont know what changed, however they are now way under staffed and patient care is less than bare minimum. The front office staff and the rehab are great but I could not let my dad go back to this facility. Dad was in the hospital for 3 weeks due to 3 separate incidents that all happened within 30 days.... I am heartbroken for the seniors who do not have family/friends to watch over them and seniors who are not able to advocate for themselves.

My husband has been with Rosemont St.Mt. for 8 months, on the memory unit, and these are my observations: Staff Rating 10+: Always polite and professional to guests and family. All Nurses and CNA's are gentle with and protective of the residents. Atmosphere for residents is relaxed and quiet. Food Rating 10+: Every time I have observed meal time, the food looked good and was hot, and taste good (I taste after he finishes). Administration 10+: Professional, attentive, results oriented and best, human. Total Operation (EVERY DEPARTMENT) 10+: I feel my husband is safe here and well cared for in a humane manner. House-Keeping and Engineering 10+: Are constantly busy with the maintenance and sanitation of the building. Rooms are neat, clean and a good size. Human Resources 10+: Whoever hires all of this staff knows how to pick out the Winners!!! It is amazing to watch all of these people at work!!! Activities 10+: TV, radio, Checkers, coloring, board games, even walking outside. Completely enclosed outdoor garden, with lawn chairs and benches. Residents are encouraged to interact with each other: ALL STAFF, every department, spends time interacting with residents. This particular long term care facility serves as a great example of: HOW TO GET EVERYTHING RIGHT!!!!!

Aides and Nurses are very responsive. However mgmt. does not seem to get problems handled. My mom's clothing was disappearing and I could not get an answer or reimbursement.

Rosemont was nice, and the employees were nice. It's bigger than I thought it was. The food is better than the VA hospital.

I was familiar with Rosemont at Stone Mountain because the facility was recommended to me from the hospital as it’s also a rehab. The staff was very nice, and the facility is clean looking. They have activities for the residents every single day, and I liked that.
