We like Beehive Homes of Stockbridge Memory Care. It was very clean. The lady who showed us around was very informative and answered our questions. I saw her in action with some of the clients there and she was very patient with them. We like the way the rooms were set up and we like her personality and the care that she showed the patients. There were a couple of things I didn't like though. I didn't like the distance that I had to walk. You can't pull up right up close to the front, so if you have elderly people, it makes it hard to get them in and out. It was all clean, and I didn't see anything wrong with that. It's just the convenience of getting to the front door. I just feel like you need to be able to pull closer than we were able to. With regards to amenities, they serve three meals, and they have a courtyard.

I like my tour at Monarch Villa at Stockbridge because it was very nice and clean. The people that were staying there, they can tour and visit, it's open and they're not just locked in their room. So they can be around the whole place. The staff is nice, they call me back whenever I had questions about stuff and they're good about that. They had things like music, they're going around and helping the patients there. They had a courtyard and a TV room, they can go and sit outside and watch everything.

I did a tour of Monarch Villa at Stockbridge. I like their customer service. The apartments were very clean and in excellent condition. The staff was very pleasant. They had a close-in patio. The dining area is very nice and accommodating. They had separate accommodation for the dining. We saw a studio, a shared room, and then a private room. They had locked doors at all times, you had to beep to get in.

I went to Monarch Villa at Stockbridge. It was very nice. It was very clean and very well-maintained. Everybody there was super friendly. The only thing keeping us from making a decision right now is we're waiting to hear from my mom's long-term care insurance about how much they cover versus what my mom will cover and what my brother and I will have to cover. The room is a typical studio apartment with a bedroom and a full bath. It's a good location if you're on the south side of Atlanta because it's kind of near Stockbridge, it's not too far from areas in Henry County or South Clayton or South DeKalb County, so it's got a pretty good location. The dining area was very clean and very well maintained. It was the same kind of setup with groups of four where people could sit and converse and visit.

I toured the Monarch Villa at Stockbridge. It's assisted living, and the director was very friendly to me and the residents. They seem to love her. They saw her and followed her. They were excited to see her and wanted to talk to her. It was really all of them. She knew and greeted them so warmly, and I just had a loving feel about her. She seemed used to it but she tried to redirect them so we could go on. She did it in a real loving way too. The residents have lots of different locations where they could do different things. Their level of activity was very good. They interacted with each other. The place was clean and inviting. It also had a luxury home feel. It was large and spacious. They had an activity center and locations where the residents could go either to watch TV or do activities. They had a place where they did art. The place was very calming too.

Of the three facilities I've looked at, Monarch Villa at Stockbridge was the most upscale and has the most amenities. It was the most attractive, it was beautiful, the ground was full of flowers and the courtyards all had sun and were open. Everything was very clean and very neat. They had facilities directly in this particular wing area, where they could take residence to bathe them and weigh them. And the setup was just really, really conducive to someone in advanced stages of dementia, where they could be comfortable. Because there was nowhere around, in my view, where I could see anything that looked restrictive. And yet everything that I was looking at was restricted, though there were no obvious locks, there were no heavy doors. Everything was wide open and yet somehow it was very, very protected. They have both assisted living and memory care. They try to keep their numbers down to below 60. She said that typically of the 2-3 wings, they try to gear one wing towards the patients with memory care. She also said that just keeping them all on the same schedule and routine, and helps with their memories. The other wing looks the same, except that the restroom where they could take residence to be bathed and weighed is a bit farther. Whereas in the memory care wing, it was right there. The cafeteria and everything were right there in that whole memory area. They had small touches like there was a thought pattern for all the artwork there. The area that we were on was called The City or The Cities. Every picture was like a city skyline. Every door has something that has something to do with the city. You were on that block the whole time and she was saying that this was something that they had carefully thought out because of the residents.

We visited Monarch Villa at Stockbridge. The staff was very professional; they looked and acted professional. The upkeep was amazing. They had several different patio areas and outdoor areas. There was a lot of windows where you could see out into the patios. The gardens and grounds were well kept. The inside was very elegant and well-maintained. It did not have a smell. Sometimes you go into those places and there's this old place smell, but this place didn't. The residents were all clean, tidy, and were walking around engaged in activities. It was very good. We went late in the day, and they were being served dinner. Some were being served dinner and some were involved in activities. We went into the shower areas and it was nice. The room that we were shown that my mother was going to get was very tidy, very clean, and was a very nice size.
