We have chosen The Sheridan at Eastside primarily for its location and we have friends over there. It looks very nice. We will have an apartment with a porch that will overlook the swimming pool, and it's very picturesque. There's an exercise room that I'm interested in, and then they're doing other things, but I'm not sure what all they are. The staff is very professional, friendly, and accurate. I have tried their food, and it was very good. It's restaurant style.

I have only ever written one other review on a company, ever. I'm not a Karen and I'm not out to do a business harm but this needs to be said. Do not send your loved ones here. We just got my grandmother out of there. She had caregivers working with her while she was staying there and all of them can attest that they would hardly see the staff come in and out of her room while they are working. Regardless of who my grandmother decides to pay for extra help the staff there still has a responsibility to check on the people there. We've had family members come up there during the night to help her because the staff would not after she hit her call Button... she would literally wait hours on someone to show up. She is bedridden and can not move on her own. One morning that we know of for sure they completely did not bring her breakfast they forgot about her. After a caregiver confronted them they tried to sneak her food in the room. She needed help one night and there was nobody on her floor they had to get someone from memory care to come up to her floor to help her staff is nowhere to be found during the night. Who knows how many other times this has happened to her or other people the neglect here is ridiculous you literally pay to be neglected it does not make any sense. I am begging you if you really love your loved ones do not let them go here. This place must be very short staffed and the workers there are only there for a paycheck they obviously do not care about the people there.

My parents were at The Sheridan at Eastside before. The place was very beautifully decorated. It gives you the wow factor when you walk into the place, but as far as the amount of money my parents were paying, they don't specifically go above and beyond in assisted living. My dad wasn't shaved and wasn't helped with his activities of daily living like he should have been. He needs prompting with shaving and to be presentable. One time I was upset with the staff because mom's clothes were not presentable (mom is vision impaired). I got off from work and I saw where she was not looking like she should have been. They need to attend more to their residents. If you're fully independent, then that's fine, but if you're not and you need assistance with personal hygiene, then they don't do it as they should. They have activities, but it is more so for the independent. In the beginning, they used to take my parents down for the activities but over time, they didn't take them to the activities or help them participate more. As I mentioned, Dad needs the stimulation. So, unless you're independent and you're able to get to the activities on your own, they work with you more, but if you're in an assisted living, they don't bring them down to the activities and have them participate more. The food was very good. They have a five-course meal, but my only problem is they don't have diabetic-related meals. My parents' blood sugars were always very high because they don't have a dietician on staff. If they had a dietician on staff, then they can help people better manage their diabetes. The apartment they had was very nice and very roomy. The entire building was very nicely decorated. They have living rooms on each floor. As I said, they give you the wow factor, but for the money, my parents had to pay, I shouldn't have to call and say, "Okay, can you please help my dad shave? Can you please lotion them? Can you please take them to the activities?" and those types of things. I shouldn't have to do that. It was too much of me having to direct them. My dad used to shave, but if they notice that he was no longer shaving, then they should have asked him, "Would you like for me to help you shave?" Or remind him.", but they didn't do that. That's what I didn't like.

We had a friend that lived here in The Sheridan at Eastside. When we visited her, we liked it, that's why we chose to live here, too. It's a new facility. It's only two years old. It has large ceilings where you don't feel locked in a small apartment. We only have an 800-square-foot apartment, but with 12-foot ceilings, you feel like you're in a grand hotel. Plus, we had an actual dryer and washer in our apartment. We have a patio, which we needed. My wife did a lot of gardening, and we have garden beds right outside of the facility where she can plant flowers. That was a necessity. It has a swimming pool, which she wanted. The food is excellent, too. It's like living on a cruise ship. The staff is outstanding. The food is tasteful and good. They serve excellent desserts. They have two choices a night with another menu you can choose if you don't like what's being served. There are activities all day long. My wife participates in them more than I do. They have great entertainment, bingo, card games, and parties. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. There's an onsite salon, a craft room, and two living rooms (one upstairs and one down) which are called great rooms. Off of the great room, there's an entertainment room where you can play games and there's a large TV with movies every night that is current or you can watch old movies. There's a committee of residents that chooses that. They have an exercise room with updated equipment to use as well.

I moved into The Sheridan at Eastside. I am able to have independence, but when I need assistance, it has continuum care. So, I will be able to transition into an assisted living situation. I mean, I'll have to move, but it will be an easy transition. The staff are wonderful. They really are competent, courteous, and just very friendly. They have a dining area. The food is nutritional, I prefer fewer carbohydrates, but a community like this has to appeal to the majority of people. I mean, it's only natural that it's a little bit bland. It's very clean, the grounds they are making a lot of effort to landscape and make the outdoor appealing. I have a two bedroom, two bath unit; they just did a wonderful job of laying out a plan for this unit. I'm really impressed with that. I have a small outdoor area, and I have a two-car garage. It's really well-kept. There's lots of activities, movies, different groups, art groups. They have a saltwater pool, it's outdoors. They offer aerobics and walking and there's a nice gym. It's very well-kept and the community does offer many amenities that will appeal to a wide range of age groups.

The Sheridan at Eastside was very new, very attractive, and I felt comfortable. It didn't feel like a facility, it was more of a home. The staff was very helpful, easy to work with, and prepared for questions. They had a salon, the dining area looks like a restaurant, and they have a meeting area with a piano for music and entertainment. They had an activities room and a garden too.

What I like best about The Sheridan at Eastside is that it's kept up, clean and nice. The villas were very nice, that's where the independent living people are mostly. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. The staff members are very prompt and very polite. It has everything that we need and it's located close to everything that we do. It's right next to the hospital. They have an exercise unit, a salon, a heated pool, a beautiful dining room, and a courtyard.

The Sheridan at Eastside was nice and new. They were convenient, and I believe there were still vacancies when we visited. They provide all the utilities, meals, and activities. I think they have movies, a workout room, a pool, aerobics, crafts, bingo, and other things I'm interested in doing. The staff we met were really nice too.

The Sheridan at Eastside was very fancy. It had a cruise ship type of atmosphere to it. It's also very expensive, and they were the only ones we visited that had a pool. We looked at the villas because the villas were on sale, and I personally would live in one of them. It was that nice and that pretty. I would be very comfortable with my mom being there, except my mom was looking for a more apartment type of atmosphere, where she would be around more people. Their apartments, in contrast, were average sized for everybody else and very expensive too. I think their two-bedroom was over $4,000, and they only included two meals. They had full kitchens and washers and dryers in their rooms, but the basic living space was not that large. The sales rep was very nice, and the other people we passed by were friendly, said hello, and nodded to us. They have game rooms, happy hours, and arts and crafts. When we were there, they had a couple of men setting up to do live entertainment. I think I was mostly taken in by the fact that it's a relatively new facility, clean, and pretty. However, I don't think the pretty part makes up really for the difference. It's just too pricey.

We were able to stay at The Sheridan at Eastside when we were getting our kitchen redone. I could leave the place, and I could call them to check on my husband. My experience was wonderful. You order your food from a menu and you get whatever. It was really like staying in a 5-star hotel. The chef comes out to ask you how you like the food. They had hostesses that were constantly making sure you were being taken care of. There's a waiter and server also, which made you feel really good. The dining room was beautiful and the whole place was beautiful, like being in a hotel. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We had steaks and salmon, and all that good stuff. They have lots of very creative activities. The place was clean. It was beautiful and very new. I was there for independent living, and my husband was in assisted living. We were in the same complex.

I chose The Sheridan at Eastside for my mother. It's a very nice facility; it's very nice, location is very close to me, and they offered some good pricing. She just moved in, the room is pretty big; it's nice, and she's the first person that lived in it. They've started having group meals again, and they do have some activities. The food is really good, and they have a lot of options.
