When I went into Vitality at Frederica, my goal was to not only look at the facility but to listen to the people as they talk to each other and that was one of the decisions that I made. Vitality at Frederica would be a good place for my sister-in-law to live. It's very beautiful inside, decorated beautifully, and it is very clean. The most important thing is the people that are there that would be taking care of her and how they interact and I found that of all the places that I visited that was the one that impressed me. I don't have a complete list of programs they have, but they have a variety of activities. They range anywhere from exercising to bingo, and outings. I felt that it was a really good fit from the way they prepare their meals, and I wouldn't put her in any place that I wouldn't want to live. And I have said this to my husband, and the people there, I would live there because I think I was just so impressed with how they ran the whole thing. We had lunch with my sister-in-law on her very first day there and the chef came out and introduced himself and asked her if she had any favorites, or if she liked a certain kind of food that they would try to add to their menu I thought that was very impressive. It has everything in an apartment you would want to live in. It's not small but it's not big. She was able to bring all of the furniture that she used daily. Also, they are pet-friendly.
What you can do with Caring
About Vitality at Frederica in Saint Simons Island, Georgia
When we designed Vitality at Frederica, we took a hard look at traditional senior living communities and went the opposite way. Because frankly, traditional senior living stinks. A person who works a lifetime and diligently raised a family, should have more to look forward to than living in a dark community that smells faintly of dentures and doilies. They deserve much better. Well, welcome to Much Better (also known as Vitality at Frederica). Where we have taken one of the islands iconic buildings and expanded it into the one of the hubs of St. Simon community life. We have two living options under one roof. Assisted Living is ideal for residents who value their independence, but may need assistance with daily activities. Our community team members are raving fans of encouraging independence with assistance readily accessible at all times of day. Memory Care is for our Elders who are living with some form of memory loss. Every member of the Vitality at Frederica team is NIDE (National Institute for Dementia Education) certified. That includes everyone from the chefs and housekeepers to the concierge and nurses. The education allows us to interact with our memory care residents as unique individuals rather than objects in need of care. Residents are engaged with the goal of helping them recapture moments of memories and the recognition of loved ones. At Vitality , we've dedicated our lives to ensure there is purpose in every breath of each resident we're honored to serve. We understand that Elders and their loved ones depend on us not only to live, but to live well. It's a challenge we welcome ? every day.To learn more about this provider's license and review other available state reports, please visit: Georgia Healthcare Facility Regulation - Find a Facility

I toured Vitality at Frederica. It looked nice and fantastic. If my brother's daughter moves here, he'll probably be thinking about living in that area. It was A-1. Everything was nice about it. It was clean. The staff who gave the tour was great and friendly. They would talk to you. They have all the information and any questions I ask, they answer them. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Vitality at Frederica was very impressive. We visited the memory care and it appeared to be more of a resort than an actual stereotypical nursing home. The staff was very polite and friendly. I felt it was nice and clean. The corridors were wide open and well-lit. It was just a very nice facility. I had the pleasure of meeting the physical therapist. Then I saw the physical therapy workout area and it was well-equipped. The young lady that gave me the tour, Laurie, was very forthcoming and very generous with information. Everybody I ran into from the concierge to the person who's in charge of transportation, and everybody else was very, very professional and very pleasant. The dining area was well accommodated. There were several of the residents there eating. Some were in wheelchairs while others had walkers and there was adequate room for their plates, utensils, and drinking glasses. They fit very comfortably under the table. It was a nice setup. It was just a great overall experience.

Thrive at Frederica was very nice, but it's a farther distance for me to drive. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was very pretty, very well kept, and clean. The rooms were fine too. I believe we saw the dining room, but I don't think anybody was dining at the time. The place was very attractive. You don't build on St. Simons without being attractive.

I visited Thrive at Frederic’s today, and it is a beautiful, immaculate, architecturally stunning facility with an attentive, friendly, thoughtful staff. One group of residents was involved in a very cute painting project. l have visited other assisted living facilities in the past, but I’ve never seen one with this level of engagement through accessible technology and arts. Thrive at Frederica on Saint Simons Island, GA, definitely sets a new standard for senior care.

Thrive at Frederica was a very nice facility. The person who showed us around was very nice. They had different levels of care, including higher levels of care. The rooms were all very nice and we liked them very much. Their cost was just higher than the others and their location is on a very busy street.
