My mom moved to Magnolia Manor of St. Simons. I like their location, and the staff was very helpful. She attended a Bible study, and then I saw their activities calendar. The building's a little older, but everything was clean. For the activities, there was a lot of participation. They had a lot of people in the room.

My brother-in-law stayed at Magnolia Manor of St. Simons. It was a wonderful place and he thoroughly enjoyed it, but they could no longer do his insulin, so we had to remove him. It was an excellent facility. They were very good giving him his meds. The personnel were very friendly. He liked everybody. They were very kind, so it was a very positive experience. The rooms were very nice. They had their own separate baths. His room was enough for his TV, chair, and some furniture. He liked the food. They had a dining area and he enjoyed that greatly. I know they had different programs and different churches come in. They sat on the porch or they played cards. It was a very social situation for him, and that's very important. The staff seemed very cooperative and very caring. The price kept going up and it was pretty expensive, but it was a very nice place, and that was worth it.

I went to visit Magnolia Manor of St Simons just to see the different apartments; I went into some of their independent living apartments. I like most of them, some of the kitchens were not quite right but one of them is okay. It was very very pretty. The main areas where the common areas where looked quite beautiful. You got an evening meal as part of your monthly rent. The person who conducted the tour was wonderful, I think her name was Jennifer, and she was so good, friendly and professional. I saw one fellow in the community rooms doing puzzles and there were some ladies in rocking chairs out in the front visiting each other, and that was it. I kinda peeked into the dining room, it was beautiful. I would suggest they update some of the kitchens in the independent living apartments. I only met the lady who showed me around, who was the manager there, and then I saw some of the dining room workers who were smiling and quite friendly and excellent.

Magnolia Manor of St Simons' apartments had a lot of square footage, which I liked. It was an older place. They had a dining facility and you're only required to take one meal there. Any other meal you eat, you pay for. I liked the price, and they had pretty grounds. The person I met there was very nice.
