I don't think Newnan Health and Rehabilitation have enough staff. They are okay, they are all nice and pleasant. It's just that I don't think they have enough staff to take care of the needs at the level that I think family members are looking for. I would like to see more care. They give the residents baths and things of that nature but I don't think they have time to spend time, making sure they are totally up to par. Right now, with the family visits, you have to schedule the visit and then they bring them to you. I guess it's just their way and I have to get used to it but they're not always as put together as I want them to be. My mom's room is okay but she was in quarantine for 14 days so I can only do window visits then. Now she's in a room with someone else but I can't see it because they have all the guidelines from the CDC so I can't go to her room, they have to bring her to me in a conference room. I haven't seen their dining area because of COVID, they haven't invited me in to do that. I don't think she likes the food either because she's not eating. I know the food is horrible so I'm trying to take her food when I get the chance. At the moment, they're not allowing volunteers and everyone to come in. I've spoken with the person who oversees the activities and she mentioned that she's going to try to get them to do some activities. I think that is not probably all of their faults at the moment, I think it's the Covid restrictions and limitations that are causing my experience to be a little bit different because I can't go to her room and I can't see her outside and they need to bring her to a conference room. I can't see what's going on more closely, day to day because they're not in their "normal". I just think that they are lacking staff and the lack of staff with the Covid restrictions are probably giving me more of a different opinion. It's not all negative, it's just that I've got to get used to it because I'm so used to having her with me and her being taken care of a certain way. So, I have to think that this is a group setting. I've made some comments to them about some things that I would like to see differently when it comes to the care of my mom and they instantly shifted, I must admit. So, I don't have any issues with that. I think it's more of me having to get used to this environment where we are right now. The place is clean and they have rules in place. I'm fine with all of that. I just don't think, and I think this is something I can't help because of everything that's going on with Covid, that they don't have enough people to work to be able to be on top of some of the things that they probably normally would be. The facility is nice, it's clean and well taken care of. It's an older building so there's always room for improvement, but it looks clean and I haven't seen anything that would be alarming to me.

My mother suffered a stroke and after 10 days in the Columbus ER we needed to find a facility for rehab. Newnan Health & Rehab was a real blessing from the first call I made to them. We didn't know what to expect since we had never dealt with this kind of situation. Mom received excellent care from the very first day. I can't say enough good things about the entire staff and the therapist. It was very clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. Any one needing this type of care will find this place a blessing. Even the bird sanctuary added to the healing effect. Mom was there for 4 weeks and she is getting better every day. We are one grateful family. THANK YOU SO MUCH !
