We have found Brookdale Newnan. We are moving in gradually. We have a two-bedroom-two-bathroom room with a small living room and a kitchen. So far, so good. We like it. It's very nice compared to others. I only visited another one, which I liked, but it was just too expensive, and I couldn't get in there. I like the two-bedroom-two-bath and the price was good, but they're going to have a rate increase soon. My husband and I had budgeted just so much for this. My daughter might have to help us depending on the increase. We're not happy with that. We just got here and we're going to be hit with an increase. That sounds kind of bad to me. So that's my only complaint. The staff are very nice. The housekeeper has just left the house, and she was lovely. It's a very nice community. I'm happy here. We have not partaken yet in activities because we are still trying to get out of our other house. It's just so much. As soon as we're in completely, we'll take part in the activities. They have a calendar that they publish, and we use the calendar to decide if we're going to participate or not. It's very nice. I would recommend it to anyone. I've talked to other residents, and they have a food committee that is going to meet this week. Every morning at our door, we get a menu of the day's main meal, which is considered lunch, and the light meal, which is considered dinner. We have a choice as to what we want. The food is not tremendous, but it's okay. My only suggestion for improvement is the food.

The community of Brookdale Newnan was very good. It was not as spacious as the first one we went to, but it was very well-maintained. As I reflected on walking through the various areas of the community, the people were very engaged. We saw some senior programs and people were involved in those programs and community activities. They were very, very well cared for. The staff was very attentive to the residents. Everything was spontaneous. We met several of the staff and they took time to greet us and talk to us as well as when we took our mother-in-law by, and she was also very comfortable with them in how they greeted her.

Brookdale Newnan was a unique little facility. It was smaller than I had anticipated that it would be, but I could tell that it was a tight-knit community. The staff members were very nice. It was a little more quaint. It didn't feel as hospital-like quality. It felt more like a smaller senior citizen living facility. They had small activities every day. They didn't have any sort of workout facility. It was mostly centered around communal things; TV watching, gardening, and not many trips off of campus.

I'm in Brookdale Newnan. I like the maid service, and I have my meals brought to my room most of the time because of the problem I have. My eyes bounce up and down, so therefore I have trouble walking. I use a walker, and I'm in the independent side. I very much like my one-bedroom unit. I have maid service once a week, I have three meals a day, and the food has become really good. We've gotten some good cooks in -- some chefs with chef degrees -- and they're really good. The dining room is really nice, and I don't know if we're still sitting two to a table or if we've gone to four to a table. We don't have COVID problems. We have excellent nursing care but not on my end. Nurses are not allowed up here, but they're very polite to us when we go down there if we have questions. They do not advise us what medicines to take, but if we have questions about the staff here, we can ask. I don't want to infringe on what their duties are because I don't know. We have bingo and lots of trivia, and a new lady has come in. In the past, we've had the activities advisor go to the library, get a list of books, and bring them back, and we've been allowed to keep them an extra week or two. The staff is really helpful. The cleaning staff is really good. The activities are awesome. We even had a night where we did trivia, but it was geared towards our guests: a football team who came in and stayed with us. That was fun, and we all got excited. The value for the money is good.

Brookdale Newnan was able to take care of my mom's dogs. So far it's okay, it's been good and they're learning. It's just a little frustrating because they want us to get COVID-tested beforehand, so we did and I got the results back. Then we got ahead and got the COVID test there, so now we're waiting for their result to come back. But they're being extra cautious, so one hand it's frustrating and on the other hand I understand why they're doing it. They're all kind of staying in their apartments, not going out like for dining. They bring the meals to the residents. The staff gave us a lot of information and sent us a lot of updates, so it's good. They're very helpful, very caring, and very attentive. They've been super nice. The appearance is great; it's nice and neat. They can improve on processing paperwork that I've needed to get, I haven't got them yet, and I had to pester them for receipts and whatnot which I've needed to be able to get financial aid for my step-dad. That's the only thing. The staff has really been attentive to my parents.

The staff at Brookdale Newnan was very professional, nice, and friendly. The facility was very clean, updated, looked really nice, and was very homey. The dining area was quaint and comfortable. They offered transportation into town, to the grocery store, out to eat, or to doctors' appointments.

Brookdale Newnan was great, and we liked them. It's very nice. The director was super nice and gave us a tour. The facilities were great and close to where I live. We were shown a one-bedroom. They had a dining area and TV area, and an area where you can sit outside or walk your dog.

I’m on a waiting list and made a deposit to Brookdale Newnan. They serve 3 meals a day, offer in-house cleaning, bed making, and light housework. They go to all kinds of field trips, games, get together parties, bus trips to doctors and shopping. Everybody was so friendly and spoke highly of the place. It was really a nice. Everybody was warm.

Brookdale Newnan is the one I really want my mom to go. It’s not quite as confining as the other one. My mom does not need complete assisted living. They have assisted or not assisted, so she could go from one to the other really quickly. It is very upscale and exactly what I was looking for.

My mother was there two years ago, and then Brookdale gave us a wonderful offer, so she came back; she liked the director, and we liked the staff. I wish they had more activities on the weekend, but they do have bingo, she reads a lot, and they go on limited trips out of the facility. The facility is only 5 miles away from my home, so it’s pretty convenient for me.

The staff at Emeritus at Newnan was very nice. The facility was nice and clean. They had good entertainment for the residents. When I went in, they had an ice cream party. I would be considering this facility.

My mother in law is happy and seems well cared for in Emeritus. It's clean and does not smell bad like the traditional assisted living. It's very expensive though.

I was very pleased with Emeritus at Newnan. Outside the price, it was a little bit on the expensive side, but with the services they offer, it was definitely reasonable in that matter. It was above my father's average though. However, it was a very nice facility. It was very clean. They also have a patio, which I really enjoyed. Their dining room was very clean. I was there where they were just beginning to have their meal and the food looked very good. Also their staff was very helpful and very attentive to their residents' need. They were just wonderful. The people that did the tour for me were very helpful too. Their residents looked like they were very well-taken care of. The thing that stands out for me, for the residents' living arrangement, is that they still have their independence. I would absolutely recommend this place.

At Georgian place they always take good care of us. At first I was scared of coming here since I had always seen on t.v. that the people working at these homes abuse the elderly. The people here are some of the nicest I've ever met. They allow me to see other residents when I want, and even escort me over to them if I can't find them. The food here is excellent, and they always have these nice bowls of fruit in your room that have fresh fruit put in them everyday. One of the best parts is that they recently put a piano in the place, and its lovely hearing some of the other residents play on it. Overall I love this place, and would enjoy spending the rest of my life here.

Gerogian Place is a reasonably priced community, and you kind of get what you pay for. The staff is friendly and the residents are nice, but the decor and lighting are pretty dated and there is not much attention to detail. It's definitely not a bad place, but it doesn't really compare to some of the other options in town that are much newer and/or gracious. If it's what you can afford, it is still a good option and I wouldn't feel bad about a family member of mine living there.
