My husband had respite care at Sodalis Martinez for two weeks and then he came back home. The staff was caring; I liked that. I also really liked the fact that it was bright and clean. Everything was up to date, and I appreciated that. My husband didn't enjoy the food, but I'm a gourmet cook, so I think he just missed my cooking. The room was very good; it was an apartment. The only thing is the bed, it was low. My husband is six feet and four inches tall, and he used to jump out of airplanes, so his spine and everything is not that great, so that low bed was not that great. Other than that, I was very confident about leaving him there. I was very confident in Nurse Channing. She was very good. She checked in with me, which I appreciated because I needed the rest. I'm my husband's only caregiver, so I appreciate it for keeping those channels open. I thought the staff were excellent.

I liked Sodalis Martinez quite well. The apartments were nice and clean. The only issue we had was that they had no apartments available that time. That sort of knocked them out of making a decision because I could have easily gone there. I liked it. The person that gave me the tour was the director of the memory care area. When we were walking around, looking at the facility and the rooms and everything, she knew everybody's name and they all knew her. It was a very happy feeling. The interaction was positive. The dining facility was nice and clean looking, too. They had a separate dining area for the memory care people.

Sodalis Martinez could be a potential place for my husband. We liked the lady that we talked to, Ashley. We found her to be very nice and caring. They were fairly casual, which we liked as well. They had a very nice courtyard. What we didn't like was they didn't have much in terms of facilities like a workout center. They had one stationary bike in a room that I think was their gathering room for games. But it was a nice place and it had been renovated to a large extent.

My dad already moved into Sodalis Martinez. We chose this place because we felt like the staff members there were genuine and were there for the residents. It wasn't just a job for them, it was kind of a calling. We thought the facilities were up-to-date, clean, and well taken care of, and we felt that the facility director was very organized and had great communication skills. His room is up to date, clean, and feels warm and welcoming. It's so bright and has a nice view of the courtyard, plus it's pretty spacious. I haven't eaten there but my dad says the food is good, and I've watched him eat pretty much everything on his plate. So, that tells me that it's pretty good food because he doesn't necessarily always do that if it's not good. Their dining area is clean, modern, and spacious. They can accommodate all the residents, whether they are ambulatory or in a wheelchair. They do a lot of different things like arts and crafts, and bingo and they do joyrides where they just take them, and drive them around town to go see Christmas lights or take them out shopping. They go out to eat every other week, they have some family events like Taco Tuesday, and they have some other stuff like a virtual reality thing that they do in the mornings. And they're currently working on getting the library converted to a full media center.

We found Sodalis Martinez to be our first choice. It is a little less expensive and we could live there even if our long-term insurance does not come through. The dining room was very nice-looking. As we were going out, they were having an activity in which a piano player in the activities room was playing the piano and a good group of the residents were listening to it and seemed to be enjoying it. The lady that gave us the tour was the activities director. We also met several of the staff and they were all very friendly. The whole building has been renovated and everything was spotless. The room that we would be in is a large studio. They have one larger room, but it would have been a little more expensive. So, we would go with a large studio, because it would be big enough for both me and my wife. It was empty, but it came with a refrigerator and a microwave. Each studio has a little kitchenette with a sink, too.

I toured Sodalis Martinez for my uncle. The room size was nice. They were renovating, and It will be really nice when they get done. The upkeep looked good. It was very clean. The staff was very good. She was very thorough. There were activities going on. I think it was trivia, and they had quite a crowd for trivia. They had transportation for shopping and to doctor's appointments. They had a happy hour. They had snacks, in addition to their meals. They do laundry. They help with medications. They assist with showers, bathing, dressing, and all of that.

My mom will be moving into Sodalis Martinez. It was very professional and very clean. They have a lot of options and a lot of things for them to do. The rooms were a nice size. I like the care because they will check in on my mom every hour. It' s apartment-style. My mom will have a nice room with a queen bed, a dresser, a chair, and a bathroom. They have a smaller room. They have a beauty parlor, a theater, family night, and a big dining room where people eat altogether. They do activities weekly, like taking them shopping or to the movies. We have been there for family night, and the food is good.

I visited Sodalis Martinez, and I like them very much. They were very nice, and it was clean. Even the people that were there, they spoke to you. You know that they were comfortable and were well taken care of. It was just that I don't know that my mother would go for that small. I think she needs a little more space, and that's what I'm going to have to look at. They just didn't have anything available right now, and that's another problem. I really do like them a lot. I like what they offer, and I like the people there. The more care they need, the higher the prices each month. The levels go up (that's the hard thing) depending on how much care they need right now. She mostly takes care of herself, but she just needs somebody to keep an eye on her meds and making sure that she does eat. She's lonely, and she needs to be around other people. Everybody's kind of mixed in. If they feel like somebody needs more help, then they go and help them. They make sure they give them more attention. It's not a really large place, so that's helpful. I walked in, and it was clean. They were actually doing activities. The day that I went there, I had a little golf tee. They had two or three holes, and there were some ladies out there putting around. They have a group that watches a certain show that they like. They like to get together and watch. They have a list of activities. They have a little happy hour every Friday, which my mother loves to do. She loves to socialize. They're going to put a movie theater in, and they have a library. They have more than one TV room. This one group can do the thing that they like to do, and then the other people too. Once a month, they'll do Taco Tuesday or some sort of barbecue out. Everybody in the family is invited to join them at that time. They do things that interact with family as well, according to them. They were all very nice, of course I was a visitor. Everybody spoke to me. Everybody was very nice, and they spoke to the patients. They would ask something specific that was going on. They said they're going to be doing a lot of improvements. It had a nice courtyard, and everything was clean around there. They said they're going to be doing some upgrades. It looked fine to me. It needed a little prepping up, but I thought it was OK. I didn't have any complaints. It didn't look shabby

My brother is satisfied at Sodalis Martinez. He likes everybody. He loves the staff and the other residents. He seems to be doing well. If he's happy, I'm happy. They have bingo, painting classes, a happy hour, and movies. They stay pretty busy. They have special dinners, like they have taco cheese, once a month and he can invite anybody he wants. They have parties for every holiday. They have a library, and a laundry service, too. They'll clean their clothes and they usually do that at night. They'll give him his medication and help with his shower, and if you don't feel like going to the dining room, they'll bring your food to you. He goes, and he likes getting along, talking, and socializing. The staff is good. The place is very clean. It always looks nice and tidy. I went to the taco cheese and the food was very good. I think it's a good value. We went over what he would be paying at home and it was the same or a little less than what it would've cost.

Sodalis Martinez was very homey and very clean. They had several big activity areas, happy hour, and lots of activities for the residents to get together. They had shuttles that would do outside activities like taking them to lunch once a week if you signed up for it or going to a park at least once a week. The lady that gave me the tour was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The rooms were pretty roomy, very spacious, and very clean.

When we did the tour at Sodalis Martinez, the apartments that they showed us and their memory care, all of it was very nice. It was all very clean and everybody seemed very friendly. I had no problems. If we could have afforded it, I would not mind putting daddy there because it seemed very nice and the accommodations were nice. But daddy was not going to be able to do the assisted living type thing at that point, and with him being a 20-year veteran, we're using his benefits for the nursing home. But that's the only reason why we're not going there, it's not that there was a problem with it or anything. I was not able to taste any of the food, but the two people that showed us around, there was a young man and a lady, they were very helpful and very nice. That they explained the rooms to us, they explained the activities and what they have. They were very helpful, but it just wasn't going to work out for daddy. They were saying that they had this particular room where they had movie nights. Then they had a place where whenever we wanted to have a family dinner, they had a place set where you could have your own family dinner, which I thought was especially nice. Like if our brothers and sisters wanted to come down and we wanted to have dinner with daddy, that was very nice. And they did bingo and movie nights and things like that.

My Mother lived there for 10 months, 5 of those were pre-covid. Mom never did like the food, and I could understand why. Food was cold, tasteless and always slow to be served. Once covid hit the conditions became much worse. Confined to her room all day, every day, almost zero interaction with staff, meals delivered in Styrofoam containers and always cold. Very little staff to help. Most of moms calls for help went unanswered. I was very unhappy with her care and would never recommend anyone live there.

Elmcroft of Martinez was the only other one that we could afford. The least part I liked was that it was two stories. It didn't have the Southern charm. It seemed more of a hospital type environment, but it was still a nice place. I liked the lady that showed me around. She was friendly. It was in a convenient location, right off of Furys Ferry. It was in a pretty general location. It looked spotless and clean.

My parents will be moving in to the Elmcroft of Martinez, and I am very happy with what they are doing. The community is exactly what they need. It is not too big, and not too small. It is just a perfect fit. I like that the staff was a perfect fit for my parents. They both have Alzheimer's, and one has dementia. I think the place is gonna suit them and not frighten them. In terms of cleanliness, my father is a neat freak. I think he would be very pleased. At the memory care, they have a courtyard where my parents can come and go.

My mother has moved into Elmcroft of Martinez. They're extremely nice, really pleasant, and easy to work with. I had to drop her things off, and they had some of their maintenance guys put it in the room for her. They've always been easy to get on the phone and to talk to. I've enjoyed working with them so far. I haven't had any real big issues. They're all really nice and polite. She said she's eating much better than where she was at. It's really pretty and clean. When you walk into the facility they have two large living room areas to the left and the right. When you come forward, there is the dining area, and to the left and the right are hallways. It has a nice homey feel. I looked at a lot of places, and this was one of a few that provided the best value for your money.

I was not pleased with Elmcroft of Martinez. The staff member I talked to was fine and the manager was fine. But I wasn't impressed when we said we're going to come and have lunch, and she said she wasn't sure they have enough food. I thought that wasn't very inviting. I was not impressed with the fact that everyone was locked in and they had no one at the front door because when we came there, we buzzed and we stood outside for about 5 minutes before someone came and let us in. It also had an odor to it and I wasn't happy with that. I wouldn't put my family member in there and I wouldn't go there.

Everything was fine at Elmcroft of Martinez. It was very nice. It was clean and it smelled good. The people were nice, and the rooms were spacious. They even have individual kitchens. Even though the residents are in different groups and buildings, they have separate kitchens so it's guaranteed that their meals are warm. The number of residents per building was relatively low and the ratio of staff to the residents was below average. Everything was very good. They have activities too. They have painting, crocheting, puzzles, reading, and they can go outside. There are all kinds of things for them to do. The gentleman that I talked to was wonderful. He was very helpful.

I liked Elmcroft. It seemed to be a friendlier and homier place than the other one I saw. They obviously had a lot of things going on; they were having their Happy Hour when I was there, plus they have little activities, but these are things that my mom won’t be interested in.

I visited Elmcroft of Martinez. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the environment felt really old. My mom was only 71. It felt sleepy, tired, and very down, but what really impressed was the warmness of the staff. The staff was very punctual with the follow-up, very flexible with their time, and were very open in showing the facility and sharing their philosophy on the management of the residents. I liked it.

We liked Elmcroft, and my mother has committed to that one, so we are hoping to move her there soon. It was very positive. The people all seemed happy to be there, and everyone was very nice. They had a lot of activities, like field trips, bingo, and other different things. The room is fairly small, but it seemed nice, and the bathroom is nice and big. The food smelled wonderful, and the staff seemed to treat the people well.

My mother has had a very good experience at Elmcroft of Martinez. She has adjusted very well to it and basically it’s because of the staff. They offer all meals; they offer dispensing medication and all of the extra-curriculars so they keep her involved with other people. They do have arts and crafts, bingo, and movie nights. They have church service on Sunday; just a variety of different things.

I visited Elmcroft of Martinez, and the staff was very helpful. It's obvious that they cared about the individuals there. The place was very clean and compact, and their dining area was very nice. Their rooms reminded me of hotel rooms with kitchens. They had activity scheduled for the individuals, and families were welcome to participate. It was a positive experience.

We visited Elmcroft for my parents. They were very friendly and very informative. They showed us around. They told us what activities their residents had or what was available to them. I really thought it was a good facility. They played games. They took them on trips, like shopping trips, or down to the river walks. They do not have to stay in all the time. They had outside activities that I liked. If you were thinking of the room as a place to sleep or just rest for a few minutes, then it is adequate. I had tried eating there. The food and the dining facility were wonderful. I liked the cleanliness and the friendliness of the people. They cared about their residents, and it was really close to me, so I could go visit and check on them on different times of the day or as often as I needed to. It would not be a burden to any family member to come and visit them.

I just went to Elmcroft to check it out. Everything was very nice and clean, and all the people who work there were very nice and considerate. It was a good community, and it's closer to my house. It was just a nice place.

I did look at Elmcroft of Martinez. It looked pretty nice, and I might consider it later because, right now, I am happy where I am. I just really went in, talked to them for a few minutes, and picked up some literature. The people I talked to were very helpful. I haven't seen the room, but I told them that I will do that later. It is quite updated -- the structural part.

Without a doubt, the best facility for Alzheimer's care in Augusta Georgia. The staff at Elmcroft are patient, engaged, kind and knowledgeable- true angels! The facility is clean and safe. A variety of activities are offered for all types of residents, always something to do. I am fully confident in the care, comfort and safety of my mother in the Heartland Village.

The staff is very caring and comforting. They provide the residents with the needed amount of care and do not smother anyone. Food is decent and my grandmother enjoys her time here. The residents are mostly friendly and social. They are warm and familiar and my grandmother feels as if it is her own home. At times she feels cooped up, but she is able to sit out front in nice rocking chairs with the other residents. Her medication Is given to her on time and she has not had any serious health concerns after being admitted. It is a very nice place to put someone you love that needs more assistance. The location is also very close to home so my family can visit my grandmother every weekend, which she loves. Everything is so homey and wonderful and there are tons of activities to be done. Living here would never be boring for someone.

My father inlaw lived there am thrived while living there he liked to be very social. There were some "issues" with the staff getting his laundry mixed up with others even with his items labled. Most things were very positive.
