My sister-in-law is at The Oaks at Peake. I like everything. Everything's great. It's light and airy, and they've just been renovated. They've redone their dining room and redone the halls. It's open and inviting. The staff is wonderful. They've taken great care of my sister-in-law. They have a bus that takes them to the grocery store, they have people come in and sing, they have people that play the piano, they play bingo, and they have arts and crafts. The dining experience is very good. It's just overall good food.

My mother has been in PruittHealth (The Oaks at Peake) for 30 days. It has been a great place for rehab. They have done a great job looking after my mother. Her room is a double occupancy. It's a nice, semi-private room with a closet and drawer for their clothing. Each person has her own TV on a swivel arm, so they're able to watch their own TV and control their own volume. The food is very good. They have a nice, spacious dining area. It is nothing fancy, but it's nice and clean.

PruittHealth (The Oaks at Peake) is very nice, and I'm very happy and comfortable here. They bring us the food and don't pay much attention to what we want unless we complain, but the food has been OK. They have activities, but I have not taken advantage of them.

My brother stayed at The Oaks at Peake for 10 days. It is extremely clean and nice. The nurses were extremely nice. One complaint we had was that the girl in charge of him went on vacation for a week, and we were supposed to have a family consultation on a Monday or Tuesday, so we had to wait until the following Monday and by then he had progressed even worse. We weren't getting any feedback at all. They should have had somebody there who talked to us instead of just that one girl.

My mom has been there now starting her 3 year and 5th administrator. It seems that the facitily has gone down hill since being placed there. They now have a 2 star rating and I am surprised its not worst. I have found my mom sitting in urine soaked diapers and also messy ones as well. Her wheel chair has had it dripping from it and seldome cleaned unless I demand it. Her laundry is done by me and I still find clothes missing or either put in the hamper wet or worst full from where she has gone to the bathroom and they don't wash them out they just put in a plastic bag and then they mold and mildew. It has gotten so bad that I called the state and reported them and I have even told the staff I will report them as well if this continues to happen. The new admistrator has now decided that I am not to be told what my mom eats and when I reported that I ended up having him send me a letter telling me I cannot come to see my mom. This has all been reported to the State and now I am filing an elderly abuse claim against the administrator to have his license revoked. Maybe that will make him wake up and realize people want let there family members be mistreated. Do yourself a favor find a different facility to place your love ones or you will end up having one battle after the other.

I do like The Oaks at Peake. The thing that I like best about it is the people. They are very nice. The facility is very clean and new. The food is not that great. It's just not a good fit for my dad because he's like the only one that's paralyzed and there are so many more women than men. He's been there for three years and is fairly comfortable, but he doesn't belong in a nursing home. I would rather want him to be in assisted living, which he could be if my mother lives there with him and she'll hire someone to come and look after just him. In a nursing home, there are more people than they can look after.

The people at The Oaks at Peake were exceptionally caring and kind to him. He made great progress and we were able to take him home. The room he had was decent. We were very happy and pleased with the care and all the services he received. If we needed to put him back in a facility, we would still choose this.

This facility offers a quiet, home-like experience for all of its residents. It is not the newest, most up-to-date facility in Macon, GA, but it offers the most customizable packages for its residents. The staff consists of truly kind individuals. The one bedroom units offer a bedroom, attached bathroom, and small area for a "living room" with an attached wet bar with a mini-fridge/sink/shelf. The two bedroom units offer one large bedroom and one medium sized bedroom, an adjoining jack-and-jill bathroom, and the same "living room" area with kitchenette. Our family opted to go for the 2 bedroom unit for my grandparents. We used the smaller bedroom as a living room and made the small living room area the "kitchen" with a small table and microwave cart to go alongside the kitchenette. This arrangement works very well and feels much less confining. The facility is overall very clean, with only a minor hint of that nursing home stench- no worse than any other top facility. The only issue we have had is that we have noticed the carpet in their unit is definitely not vacuumed as often as it is advertised to be. Overall though, this facility is worth considering and in my family's eyes the best option in Macon, GA for a loved one.

The Oaks at Peake nursing home is very nice. It is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It is also is a very nice neighborhood, close to Zebulon Road. The residents are sometimes allowed to walk around outside close to the doorways, depending on their condition. Some staff members will wheel them around in their wheelchairs, while other residents can get along fine just using their canes. The staff is very courteous and they seem like they actually enjoy being around the residents. They are very attentive. The times that I visited, an emergency alarm went off twice, and each time the person in need to care was seen about immediately. My grandfather never once complained about his stay there. The residents are treated nicely and the food even seemed superior, considering that many of the residents have specific dietary requirements. I had the catfish myself, and it was actually pretty tasty.
