My dad is in Atrium Health Navicent Rehabilitation Hospital for rehab. We chose it because other veterans and friends recommended it as being the best place for him. Physical therapy and occupational therapy have been consistent. I don't like that children can't visit these seniors in the courtyard outside. I don't think it's nice for these grandparents, especially someone with dementia, to look at their grandchild through a glass window. It was appalling and it had upset him. Outside of physical therapy and occupational therapy, he's sitting in his room alone. I went in there one day and he was sitting in a wheelchair in the hallway so they could keep an eye on him. That's not OK with me. One time, my dad managed to get past the receptionist and the security guard on his wheelchair, and he went rolling right on out to the parking lot till they caught him. They have vending machines and other things, which are convenient. They have several courtyards, which is nice. They have several gyms and they have several different methods of working with the residents. The physical therapists were outstanding. The whole place was very, very clean.
