We moved my dad to memory care section of The Joy at the end of September, 2024. To help with logistics, we moved my dad first, to one of their fully furnished respite rooms, then moved him to his new suite the next day, after we got his furniture moved in and set up. It’s hard to describe how great the staff was (and is!), from the moment we walked through the front door. As you probably know, if you’re considering moving your loved one, it can be pretty stressful— for everyone. Walking into The Joy with my dad was like walking into a sanctuary of caring and calm (outside, there was literally a hurricane approaching :-) ). One day recently, after he’d been there a couple weeks, I was sitting with my dad in his room enjoying a cup of coffee together and, unprompted he said: “I like my new home.” He’s not a man of many words. It made my day. So grateful for everyone at The Joy!

My sister was at Joy Senior Living. It's a relatively new facility. They only had like two or three people on the assisted living side, and right now I think they've got about ten on the memory care side. The number of residents was somewhat limited, which made it easier for the staff, and I saw that as an advantage. The place is really real nice, neat, clean, and well kept. Even though my sister was only going to be there for a few days, I saw that as an advantage. The care seemed to be pretty good. My sister seemed happy. She was more concerned with what she was going to get to eat, and the quality of the food and all that, and she was pleased with that. She was satisfied with the amount of food and the quality of the food she got for meals. As for the staff, the director and one of the owners were excellent to work with.

My mom moved to Joy Senior Living. I highly recommend this place. They have two nurses on staff. They have a wonderful staff. It's a brand-new building. It's only two months old. They have memory care and they have assisted living. They have activities during the day. They helped my mom with her meals. They just take care of her. The facility is spotless. The food was good.

I recently toured the Joy Senior Living and was impressed! The staff were caring and personable, the food was delicious, and the environment was very welcoming. They have exciting amenities like a community garden and walking trails coming soon, alongside great ones already in place like pet therapy days and bingo! Everyone there seemed happy and friendly. The Joy is a great new addition to the community!
