My mom lives at Oaks at Oakland Plantation. It's very clean, everybody that works there is very friendly, and they're observant of my mother. They have helped me with a situation that I had recently. They have activities every day for them if they choose to participate or not. They have a live aviary. They have a beautiful lobby to gather if you want to gather there and a nice dining hall. I felt like they were attentive and they offered some nice amenities for her. The staff is very capable, friendly, and caring. They have people come in for gospel things and Bible study. They do arts and crafts. They have movie showings. They have a bus that goes to a local melon patch or the library, or to Target, wherever the residents want to go, they do that twice a week. They had a really special dinner back in December for Christmas, and they all got dressed up and it was nice. And the staff is all there for these activities. So even after hours they will come in and help them, and they seem to enjoy the residents.

Overall, we liked Oaks at Oakland Plantation. It was very clean. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms were very nice. What made us decide that it was not a good fit for my aunt was that the dining hall was so far away from the rooms, and it was so much walking for her. The staff who assisted me were very accommodating. The building was very clean and structured well. It was very peaceful and serene. Somebody was playing the piano. It was a very peaceful atmosphere. Everybody was friendly.

Oaks at Oakland Plantation was a nice place. The people were nice. The person that did the tour was very helpful. She answered all of our questions and gave us a lot of good information. The dining area looked fine. They talked about different games and different things like that. We looked at memory care and it was a separate area where they do some activities with them, but they didn't go into any details.

Oaks at Oakland Plantation was too large for my mom. The distance from the bedroom to the dining room and the common areas was way too far for her. The 1-bedroom apartment was very nice with a sitting area and a bedroom. The studio apartment only had room for a bed and a bathroom. They did have a refrigerator, but no microwave. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very nice and professional. She was very respectful of the residents. She knocked on their doors before she asked them if we could see their rooms. The building was fairly new, so it was extremely clean and nice. The shrubs and flowers were all pretty.

Oaks at Oakland Plantation was very nice. It was clean. The staff was pleasant. The memory care unit was awesome. There were a lot of things for him to do. They had a barber shop, and they had a family area. From memory care, there would be some time that he could visit the other part of assisted living. The dining area was beautiful. Their rooms were excellent. The area outside of that room was large and spacious. My uncle would have more mobility to walk around and do things there.

My brother moved into Oaks at Oakland Plantation, and it's excellent. They have a pool table, a piano, lots of board games and card games. They also have bingo, movies, and there's a movie theater in there. They have all kinds of good stuff. The staff could be a little better. I was able to taste the food and there's a lot to be desired. It's very plain and it's very blah; it's for old people. They have a choir, they have devotions and a little bit of everything. They also have outings two days a week. They go to Wal-Mart, the bank, and whatever little errands the residents need to be to be taken around to. They're expensive.

Oaks at Oakland Plantation is very nice and brand new. It is state of the art. The staff members were very responsive to my questions and prompt in their responses. They have a salon and a courtyard. It is very clean. It is the best option in Leesburg.

My father will be moving into the Oaks at Oakland Plantation. It's a newer facility, and of course more up-to-date and more modern. It's in a wooded area, it's very close to where I live, and based on some of the other facilities that I've seen, it's just a little bit nicer. The staff seems excellent, and they have nurses on staff. When you're looking as far as the pricing structure and the facility, they are very compatible with my father's needs, and the market that is out there. They have a movie theater, a barbershop, and numerous exercise rooms. There is a huge dining room area that is very nicely appointed, it's not right on top of one another because of the size of the facility. Also there are multiple activity rooms, a rehab center type thing room, and several TV rooms different from the theater that are onsite.
