I needed rehabilitation after a hip replacement and chose Twin Fountains because it is close to my home. I did not know what to expect. I was so pleased with my choice. My days were controlled by my therapy schedule so I did not get to participate in a lot of the activities. When I could the activities were very inclusive. I attended the July birthday party which included cupcakes and gifts for the residents and patients that were celebrating birthdays. Each week there were movies and shopping outings to enjoy. I was not able to go but I sent a short shopping list with a resident. I found the staff to be very approachable and warm and professional. If the day comes that I need residential services, I am seriously considering Twin Fountains. I was able to enjoy the outdoor gardens with the ponds. I miss everyone and plan to return to visit. I want to work on a jigsaw puzzle with my friends.

The attitudes of some of the nurses was horrible, they were mean and uncaring. Some of the better ones made up for this by showing how they went the extra mile for the residents. There was a few incidents of bad odor due to the incontinent nature of the residents, but even the hallways stank. The residents themselves where sweet and lonely and spending time with them was a joy, and I'm glad they enjoyed the music we sang for them

I visited Twin Fountains to see my Grandmother. From the minute I walked into the place, I did not like the atmosphere. It felt sad and everybody in the place seemed depressed. I went into the room that my Grandmother stays in, and there was a worker sitting on her bed, making a personal call and filing her nails. Now my Grandmother has severe Alzheimers, she can barely remember her name let alone how to feed herself. So I asked the woman to leave and then I sat there and fed my Gtrandmother. The staff seemed to not care about what the patients were doing and let them roam where ever they wanted. Despite the poor quality of the staff, the place is well kept and very clean. I would not recommend anybody put their family members in this place. If it was my choice I would take my Grandmother out of this place and put her some where better.
