I visited this facility

I toured Jonesboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It was a rehab center that offered PT and OT, but they did not accept my loved one because of his chest tube. The rooms were very nice. They had semi-private and private rooms. They had windows and they were very open. The facility was very nice and very clean. The staff who gave the tour seemed to be very knowledgeable. They have a dining area where patients would eat, and if they couldn't go, they would go to their rooms and serve them there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband is currently in Jonesboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The staff was wonderful. They're caring. They're willing to talk to the family when the family has questions. The nurses come in the room and talk to you and explain what you don't understand. The place is spotless. The housekeeping is there every single day. They mop the floors. They dust the shelves. They clean the bathrooms. They empty the garbage cans and put fresh bags in them. My husband has a roommate. His bed is right by the windows and the windows have blinds on them because the sun is coming right in. Each patient has their own television. They have their own wardrobe and nightstands. They have drawers to put their folded clothes in. They have activities every single day. They post all the activities on the patient's wardrobe door so that they can see. They played bingo. They have arts and crafts. They do everything with them. They have special activities like on holidays. The families were invited to go and have a meal with them. They had a big masquerade ball on Halloween and they would also come. They have lots of activities. I have tried the food and it's very good.

Please, if you are reading these reviews to make a decision on what’s best for a family member DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY! My grandmothers care was absolutely horrendous! She did not receive the physical therapy she needed, which caused horrible blood clots that we are still dealing with. The staff acts as if everything you want them to do or ask about is an absolute nuisance. If my grandmother pushed the button or asked for help, it would take 45 minutes or longer for them to help. The facility is disgusting and outdated. The nurses roll their eyes at just about everything and we even had one staff member tell my grandmother, after having spinal & neck surgery, to stop her moaning and groaning. She had to beg for medication or we pretty much had to do so for her. It was not done on schedule as you would expect. every single nurse you ask for assistance will tell you that they don’t know what’s going on and they will find out who does. We stayed with her every hour possible, but night staff is even worse than day staff. She was left with vomit all over one day, and by the time we got her to the hospital, she was beyond dehydrated! It took us getting her to the emergency room for the blood clots in her legs to get her out of this facility. Please whatever you do, do not use this facility for anyone you care about, or don’t for that matter. The complete lack of care and concern is some thing I have never witnessed in healthcare , and I am completely appalled. I will definitely be reporting this facility and doing everything I can to advocate for people that are stuck in this unfortunate situation, and to make it very clear this facility should no longer be running. It’s an insurance money grabbing facility that should be shut down immediately.

I am visiting my father at Jonesboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. I've only seen it a couple of times, but it's very clean and very organized. The patients seem happy. The staff that I've met have been very helpful. If I have questions, they help me find the answers. They're good with Daddy because he seems to be happy there. He wanted to stay there at the long-term nursing home area when he went there for rehab. He seems quite happy with it. There is a garden patio in the middle. They have beauty services. When I go in, there's the calendar of what they provide daily, like movies and activities for them to do. That's very up-to-date. They have a menu posted, but it is in one area, so I didn't see it in any other areas. I just wish they would have a menu that the residents could see on a daily basis to see what they're having for that day. Other than that, it is great. My dad is a very picky eater, so I would like him to know what he's having to kind of prepare. I've been there a couple of times, and the food looked good and pleasing. My dad's room is semi-private. He got enough room for his stuff. It's a good size for two people.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, let these people "care" for ANYONE you care about. Even people you _don't_ care about deserve better than this place. Nursing staff barely responds; will leave you sitting in feces if someone didn't keep calling on your behalf. A nurse from "wound care" basically accelerated wound deterioration with her bandaging. Physical therapy is mostly a joke. Housekeeping came with a broom and was in and out within 10 seconds (I am not exaggerating!); she did not remove any trash. The furniture is old and falling apart. There were ants (likely from housekeeping barely sweeping). It goes on... And I saw this personally for two other residents, not just my own family. I wish there were better things to say. Some of the staff I met are nice but there are too few of them to make up for the overall shoddy care.

PLEASE RUN! DONT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE! My mother had a knee replacement and was sent to the facility for physical therapy. She went on this past Friday and we moved here today. My family and I took her back to the hospital and they readmitted her to the hospital. The doctors stated it was obvious they had neglected her because her inr(blood) had dropped to a 1 and if we hadn’t left she would have produced another clot by tomorrow. She was in a very out dated room with dirty on the floor and no one came to check on her at all for the first night. The next day a nurse stated that she didn’t even know anyone was in that room because she didn’t have a name on her door. She sat in the same spot for a day in a half. When I went up there to talk to her head nurse she said that she would be sure to take very good care of my mom which she did not. I feel really bad for the patients who has to live there. If I could give them a negative number for a rating I would have. We door dashed her food because the food was horrible and inedible. Thank God we left this horrible place and now my mother is being taken care of.

My mother is in Jonesboro Nursing & Rehab Center for rehab. She's been there for almost a month. So far, it seems OK, and my mom is satisfied with it. My mom said the service is a little slow, but the therapy has been good. The staff has been OK. I think it's a little pricey, but not having seen it, I don't really know.

This is the absolute worst place I have ever seen. My wife has been there for only one day. The staff is rude, incompetent, and does not care about taking care of the patient's personal needs. Patients are left alone for hours. Nurse call does no good. Nobody comes when it is pressed. I should have read the reviews before I let my wife go to this place. There are no positive reviews. I will probably have to go and pick up my wife tomorrow. It's a shame that places like this even exist.

I used to think this was a pretty good establishment, until here recently. Ever since the associate director was replaced(he moved up the ladder), this place has gone way down hill. Staff has left in droves. My mother is a resident and they can't keep her clothes from coming up missing. She has to sit around in night gowns and robes all day. I have been told they were working on the issue, but it has been weeks. Some of the nurses, not the CNA staff, but nurses have the attitude they don't do personal care of the residents. Residents are left alone for hours at a time without someone checking on them. My mother complains of the food many times. I have complained, myself, several times about the social worker not fulfilling things she has been tasked to take care of. I need to now take time away from work, and try to find her somewhere better equipped to take care of her needs. In this time of COVID-19, it appears they have decided that residents and their needs don't matter. I want to find the owners of the facility and file complaints.

I wish I could put into words how awful this place is. It seems inviting and pleasant in the office area. Looks can be very deceiving. I spent many hours a day there with my Mom. If I was not there her fate was to lay in her geri chair for HOURS at the nurses station. That is the area they put fall risk patients. She would be wet and crying many days. We need to protest and reform nursing homes. The owners and administrators get rich and our loved ones sit in pee and poop!

My mom moved into Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. We like it, and it's a nice facility. My mom has a shared room, but it's big and spacious. The staff is good and always seems to be happy no matter what time of the day. They have an activity center, where they do bingo and arts and crafts.

Don't ever let a loved one be placed in this facility. The staff is rude, uncaring and treat patients with very little dignity and respect. Patient rooms are dirty. Patients are left to sit or lay in soiled garments - which results in very fowl odors. Medicines are often skipped or not administered at all. Video surveillance cameras are pointing to the ceiling - not toward nursing stations and hallways. What are they trying to hide?

Mom is in Jonesboro for rehab. The place is decent and has pretty flowers around it. The center has a beautiful dining room area, nice workout area, and the physical therapist people are a godsend. They are very helpful. There's a beautiful aviary inside with little finches which my mom absolutely loves. There's a center area where you can have barbeques and picnics. The food is pretty good. However, the night shift people are nasty and treat her really bad. They were treating her as a diabetic, and she was not a diabetic, so she almost died.

My mom was here for only a month, I could not take it any more. The facility is fairly pleasing to look at with its courtyard. And the food was pretty good. BUT, what is really need when you are at one of these facilities is good medical care. That was lacking in every respect.. The staff was rude and down right mean to the residents. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

Jonesboro was fine, and it was my wife’s fourth visit for over 10 years. They’ve got a large staff that stays right on top of everything. She was actually cared very well.

My father is in Jonesboro because they have a rehab facility, and he has just transitioned to the assisted living. Everything is fine. I like the room setting which is like a studio apartment. I sit and eat with him, and the food is great. They have all kinds of activities like bingo. They have someone who comes in for religious services. It is a full-service facility that is clean and well kept.

My dad was in Jonesboro Nursing home for 1 month before we Hospice said we could bring him home. Within 2 weeks of admission he lost 13 lbs. He was eating very little unless you spoon fed him. He never got a bath. If you are in your room sleep when the food arrivers, they will try to wake you up. If you don't then within the allot time the will take the food away and you will miss your meal. My sister travel to visit and stay 8 hours a day at the nursing for a week. The first day he got very little attention, by the 3rd day the staff was running into the room every hour to see what they could do. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. If you can find a way to keep your love one home with home attendant you will be better off.

Jonesboro Nursing and Rehab is just 20 minutes from the house. The staff seems to be very nice. The food is provided for my mother because she has to have puree food. Everything is working out well.

My father in law had Parkinson disease and was not doing well. For three years he was able to live by himself, but that was not possible anymore. He was getting more confused each day. My husband and I lived about thirty miles away from him and we knew it was time to find a nursing home to help him in his final years. Christian City in Union City Georgia was a facility we knew about because a lady that went to our church worked there. We decided to go and speak with the staff and check the facility out. The administrator took us on a tour of the facility. The next day we moved my father in law into the nursing home. He wasn't able to get around by himself, so he was completely dependent on the staff. They were so helpful and kind to him. Each day he got a little worse and needed more help from the staff. They really made sure he had everything he needed.
