Let me start by saying this place completely changed my expectations of a "Nursing Home". I thought NH or rehab facilities were old, decrepit, with people wasting away. Fairburn HealthCare Center was nothing like this. All resident were up in wheelchairs or walking about and socializing. My mother was on the "new" hallway where the facility stated all rehab to home patients went. It was clean, accommodating, and active. Therapy got my mother from breakfast and started therapy bright and early. The therapy department worked with her one on one to regain help her regain her mobility and ultimately her independence. This all happened within the matter of nearly 20 days. I cannot thank Fairburn Healthcare Center enough for getting my Mother home safe and back to the way she was before her hospital stay. I would recommend this place for anyone needing Therapy for their loved one, they will treat them like family.

I went to Fairburn Health Care Center, and the people were very nice. They provide physical therapy and occupational therapy. That was a possibility for my sister. The thing I did not like about it is they have the Dementia patients or Alzheimer's patients segregated. This means they were exposed only to people with Dementia or Alzheimer's. I understand why they would do that because they need to be secured, and they would need to be in a facility where they would not walk out. Some of them will walk away, but my sister will not walk away. Her long term memory is good. She knows who she is, and she knows who everybody is. She is used to a measure of freedom. They do have activities, and they do have community people who visit them, but it was not as interactive as I found the other facility to be. My sister is a very social person. The staff and the people were very nice. I just didn't like the layout, and it looks depressing. The environment didn't seem like a happy environment not that it was unhappy. It's the general atmosphere kind of thing.
